Scramble on for terrific Tevez

If Manchester United fans had any doubt as to the quality of Carlos Tevez, then the last two games against Manchester City and Wigan have proved that. A born winner, the Argentinian forward has endured a frustrating season - yet despite often warming the bench at Old Trafford, he has still plundered an impressive 15 goals.
Yet with just six weeks until his two-year loan at the club expires, he still finds himself in the unenviable position of not knowing where his future lies.
I'm not a United fan - far from it - but United always look to me a much better side with Tevez in the team. The much-maligned Dimitar Berbatov just doesn't offer the same workrate, and for me, just doesn't pose the same threat in front of goal. And I also think Tevez's inclusion lets Wayne Rooney off the leash and allows the England man to do his business in the more dangerous areas of the pitch.
Admittedly £30million is a steep old fee for United to stump up, and although question marks remain about where (and to whom) that fee will go to, securing Tevez surely has to be one of United's top priorities this summer.
If not, then don't doubt there'll be no shortage of clubs willing to bring him in. And who would rule out the prospect of Tevez wearing either the colours of Manchester City or even Liverpool next term if United don't decide to tie him down.
