England vs Kazakhstan
Shooter : So England return to Wembley, where Capello admits the pressure from home fans is immense, for the first time since their Croatia heroics. Luckily they're facing a Kazakhstan who conceded three against Ukraine, and although Cole is out, Gerrard is not a bad replacement. I reckon 4-0
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : So how many tipped up the win in Croatia last time out? Yours truly fancied Fabio's boys but didn't back up his belief with hard cash. The Kazakhstan clash will probably inspire a million Borat impressions over the next few days - but England, with Theo Walcott again likely to shine - won't need inspiring on their way to a comfortable win. 3-0
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Home Win
Wales vs Liechtenstein
Shooter : Toshack's young dragons were full of fire in a narrow defeat in Russia, but now face a Liechtenstein side who drew 0-0 with Azerbaijan but were hit for six by the Germans. Wales grabbed a narrow 1-0 win last time they were at home, but I reckon it'll be more comfortable here. 2-0
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : This isn't the easy assignment many might expect despite Liechtenstein having never been higher than 118 in the FIFA rankings. The Welsh have a very young side these days and whilst they are expected to win, an expectant home crowd just weigh heavy and I fancy the visitors to snatch a draw. 1-1
Prediction : Draw    Actual Result : Home Win
Scotland vs Norway
Shooter : Burley's Scots are without Kenny Miller at Hampden, but I still think they'll have enough in the locker to see off the Norwegians. The Scots' 2-1 win in Iceland was a massive result and kickstarted their campaign, while Norway were held to a home draw last time out. 1-0
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Draw
Looter : The Scots are already without Kenny Miller, Kris Commons and Kevin Thomson in this one, and whilst the latter won't really be missed, the absence of Miller and Commons is quite a big blow to their hopes. The Norwegians, on the other hand, look full of menace and purpose and are more than capable of going to Hampden and pinching the points. 1-2
Prediction : Away Win    Actual Result : Draw
Slovenia vs Northern Ireland
Shooter : Slovenia have made a rock-solid start, winning and drawing their first two games. They carved out a narrow 2-1 home win over Slovakia, while NI earned their first point thanks to a battling 0-0 draw with the Czech Republic. I reckon 1-1 or 2-2.
Prediction : Draw    Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : The Northern Irish are still enjoying the dizzy heights of 32nd in FIFA's world rankings but that won't stop them starting as second favourites against a team ranked 47 places below them. The hosts won only two of their home games in qualification for Euro 2008, but know the three points are there for the taking if they play to their abilities. I'm opting for a narrow home win here. 1-0
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Home Win
Germany vs Russia
Shooter : Russia kicked off their campaign with a gutsy win over Wales, but are not such good travellers on the road. The free-scoring Germans conceded three against Finland - but escaped with a point after bagging three themselves, and I think they'll pull further clear at the top of Group 4 with a 3-1 win.
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : Two of the best attacking nations lock horns this weekend and Guus Hiddink's side will play for the win. That should make for an interesting clash, but star men Pavlyuchenko and Arshavin have not enjoyed good runs of form of late, and that should help the efficient Germans grind out a key victory. 1-0
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Home Win
Romania vs France
Shooter : Neither of these two have made great starts, but grabbed vital victories last time out. Romania's was an unimpressive 1-0 win over the Faroes, while Les Bleus edged out Serbia 2-1 on home turf, so this will be a cagey affair as neither can really afford to lose. 1-1
Prediction : Draw    Actual Result : Draw
Looter : These two sides meet for the second time in a matter of months after their frustrating 0-0 draw at Euro 2008. The Romanians could consider themselves unfortunate not to win that day, but should be a far stronger proposition on their home turf. France have Franck Ribery back in the squad, but he's a player lacking match fitness, so I think the hosts could claim a narrow win and finally push Les Bleus in management changes. 2-0
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Draw
Sweden vs Portugal
Shooter : Portugal are still hurting after the 3-2 home defeat by Denmark so Queiroz will demand a response. They're missing Deco and Carvalho but now have a fully-fit Ronaldo, who was slightly under-cooked last time, in their attacking ranks. The Sweden saw off Hungary 2-1 at home last time out, but I think they'll come undone here. 1-3
Prediction : Away Win    Actual Result : Draw
Looter : Another interesting clash and one pretty close to call is in Gothenburg. But the Swedes showed at Euro 2008 that they are now long past their best and overly reliant on the sometimes-brilliant, but often-overrated Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Portugal, on the other hand, have atacking flair spilling out of their pockets and should have too much going forward for the hosts. I fancy a comfortable away win, 0-2.
Prediction : Away Win    Actual Result : Draw
Leeds United vs Brighton
Shooter : Brighton bring an unbeaten league record to Elland Road, but I think they'll have lost it by the time they get back on the coach. Leeds are looking the part under McAllister and are in decent nick on home turf (2wins, 1 draw, 1 defeat). It'll be close but 2-1.
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : The Whites slipped to only their second home defeat of the campaign against Peterborough last weekend and will be eager to get back on track against the Seagulls. But Brighton arrive at Elland Road with a half-decent record of late in West Yorkshire having drawn on their last three visits. Brighton now have Robbie Savage in their ranks and he can inspire them to another draw and further blunt Leeds' promotion hopes. 1-1
Prediction : Draw    Actual Result : Home Win
Scunthorpe vs Crewe
Shooter : Scunny are hanging on to the coat-tails of leaders Leicester after a flying start to the season (6 wins in 9 games), while Crewe are already anxiously looking over their shoulders after 6 defeats in 9. This really is a home banker - but not a cricket score. 2-0
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : The Irons' seven-match winning sequence was ended last weekend at Leyton Orient, but a home clash with Crewe should hold little fears for Nigel Adkins' side. The Alex, by contrast, haven't won in five games and have conceded 11 goals on the road this season. Mortgage job this one: home win! 3-0
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Home Win
Walsall vs Peterborough
Shooter : These two have play-off aspirations, with the Saddlers on blazing form at home so far (3 wins out of 4). Posh are full of goals at home, but are struggling to net on their travels, and I think this will play into the hosts' hands. 2-0
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : Two sides on the up in the League One are Walsall and Peterborough and both teams will expect to be in and around the play-off shake-up at the end of the season. But the Saddlers look very strong at home with three wins from their four games played, while the Posh have only managed one win on the road. With that in mind, I think Walsall should, just about, have too much for Darren Ferguson's troops. 2-1
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Away Win
