Archived tips :
Hull City vs Bolton
Shooter : Hull may have lost their last two games - but showed at Old Trafford they're capable of staying in the top half of the table this season. Goals are coming freely for them, while Bolton still looked ragged in a gritty win over City last time out. I reckon 2-0
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : Regardless of what happens here on in, it's been an incredible season for Hull and last week's 4-3 defeat at Man United will have felt more like a win. However, they might find it hard to pick themselves up for a home clash with Bolton, and I think Gary Megson's troops could continue their recent improvement with a point here. 1-1
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Away Win
Liverpool vs West Brom
Shooter : The Baggies ended a losing run against Blackburn, but let in a last-minute equaliser which saw them drop into the dangerzone. They simply haven't got the players to 'do a Stoke' and park the bus at Anfield, where their open playing style will suit the Reds, who should be buoyed by their midweek escape in Europe. 3-0
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : Let's face it, anything other than a home win will come as a major surprise and having disappointed in their last two games, this represents an ideal time for the Reds to get back to form. But the Baggies showed resilience for 60 minutes at Old Trafford and also only lost by a single goal at Arsenal, so I'll tip them to run the Reds close here before succumbing to a late defeat. 2-0
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Home Win
Sunderland vs Portsmouth
Shooter : Tony Adams keeps insisting the players are fully behind him, but you can't help thinking the likes of Crouch, Defoe and Diarra have one eye on a January switch to White Hart Lane and they've yet to win under their new gaffer. Keane will demand a response to the battering at the Bridge - and I think he'll get one. 2-1
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : A tough one to call at Sunderland this weekend, but one thing I do expect is goals, with both sides looking pretty prolific up front this term. However, Pompey look slightly fragile on their travels, so I'll tip the Cats to add to their two wins from four home games so far. 3-2
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Away Win
West Ham vs Everton
Shooter : The Hammers haven't got going away from home yet, but have won 3 in 5 at Upton Park as Zola's open, attacking style is more suited there. The problem is Everton arrive in London having won 3 of 5 on the road and lifted by Saha's last-minute winner against Fulham. 2-2 for me
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : It's been a funny old season so far for both these sides, but it's Everton who enter the fixture in slightly better form of late. West Ham stopped the rot in a 1-1 draw at Middlesbrough last week, but they might struggle to break down a Toffees defence so I'm going to tip Moyes' boys to pinch a late 1-0 win.
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Away Win
Aston Villa vs Middlesbro'
Shooter : Villa looked knackered against Newcastle and have only got a few days to recover from their Euro trip to Prague, but they're unbeaten on home turf and will be lifted by a vociferous home crowd. Boro have made a solid start but aren't travelling well (3 defeats in 5). 3-1
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : Boro must rank as the hardest to predict side in the Prem this term, with the Teessiders going literally from the sublime to the ridiculous. Villa were woeful in losing at Newcastle on Monday and O'Neill will demand an immediate response. However, a midweek UEFA Cup trip to Prague will leave them jaded, so I think Middlesbrough could spring a shock here. 1-2
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Away Win
Blackburn vs Chelsea
Shooter : Big Phil's Blues may have been rumbled by Roma in midweek, but they showed at Hull that they're a handful wherever they play in the Prem, and Roma don't have Keith Andrews playing in midfield. Andrews may have earned his side a point at Albion, but will be thoroughly outclassed by Messrs Lampard, Deco and co. 0-2
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : Chelsea managed to produce their worst display yet under Big Phil's tenure against Roma in midweek and will seek an immediate return to form at Blackburn. The hosts will probably again be without key marksman Roque Santa Cruz and I'm just not sure they'll have enough to trouble the Chelsea defence. 0-2
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Away Win
Fulham vs Newcastle
Shooter : Looking at the stats (Fulham 3 wins at home, Newcastle no wins in 5 away games), all the signs point to a home victory - but the Magpies come to the Cottage on the back of successive victories. The Toon stunned Spurs at home last season so quite enjoy trips to the capital, and I think Martins will fire them to a shock win. 1-2
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : It might be still the first third of the season, but this already ranks as a six-pointer for both these sides. Newcastle have improved lots under Joe Kinnear, but aren't great travellers and don't like London either, so I'll back the Cottagers to inflict more capital punishment on them here. 2-1
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Home Win
Man City vs Tottenham
Shooter : Redknapp's resurgent Tottenham head to (Middle) Eastlands with back-to-back wins under their belts - but still rockbottom of the table. Harry's teams have never been that strong away from home, though, and although City have lost their last two games (both away) I reckon they'll once again thrive on their home comforts. 3-1
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : 'Appy 'Arry takes his rejuvenated side to Eastlands this weekend, and after 4 points from games against Liverpool and Arsenal, this should hold little fear. City have been very poor lately, and with Tottenham having all the momentum, I'm backing them to continue their climb up the table. 1-2
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Away Win
Swansea vs Watford
Shooter : Watford's 4-3 home defeat to Blackpool proved too much for the Hornets board so Boothroyd has been sent packing, which usually galvanises a misfiring team. Problem is they're off to Swansea, who are unbeaten in 7 at home (3 wins 4 draws), and I think Martinez's men will have too much confidence and class for the visitors. 2-0
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : Tough one to call here in South Wales, with Watford having fired the unfortunate Aidy Boothroyd and their players and board taking an enormous amount of flak in the press this week. Swansea are on the better footballing sides of the division, but I think the Hornets' fighting spirit could snatch a draw. 1-1
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Home Win
Barnsley vs Sheff Utd
Shooter : It's another south Yorkshire derby and should be a cracker as both teams are in decent nick. The Tykes toppled Charlton at The Valley, while Beattie is banging them in for the Blades, who have won 2 on the road but more worryingly lost 4. I reckon a 2-2 humdinger.
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : The Blades look well on course for a top-six finish this term, but were second best in their most recent South Yorkshire derby when they went down 1-0 at Hillsborough. The Tykes have improved themselves lately too and will be eager to ensure that old boy Brian Howard doesn't have things all his own way. Score draw for me, 1-1.
