Archived tips :
Arsenal vs Aston Villa
Shooter : Villa have lost their way in recent weeks, while talk of pressure on Wenger has gone away after the stunning win over Man Utd and Carling Cup progression past Bruce's Latics in midweek. The senior Gunners will return from a well-earned rest, and although Villa will put up a good fight I think they'll be edged out 2-1 by the hosts.
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : The Gunners bounced back from their recent troubles with a fantastic win over Manchester United last weekend, while their kids showed the way once again in midweek. Villa, by contrast, have come off the rails a little bit of late and you can't see them getting much joy at The Emirates. 2-1
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Away Win
Everton vs Middlesbro'
Shooter : Boro are buzzing after their late win at Villa and in Tuncay, Mido and Alves have great attacking options up top. They've improved on the road this season, while the Toffees much prefer to play away from Goodison where they've only won once compared to 4 wins on their travels. Saha is starting to look sharp, though, so I think 1-1.
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Draw
Looter : Boro produced what Gareth Southgate called their best performance under his tenure in winning at Villa last week. But I think that's a modest appraisal of what is a very useful Boro side. Everton are back on the winning trail, but I think Boro can hold them and ensure the spoils are shared. 1-1
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Draw
Hull City vs Man City
Shooter : Boy this is a tough one to call as both teams have seen their bubble burst after a fine start to the season. City had two men sent off in the defeat by Spurs so their squad will be stretched - and the Tigers are desperate to end their losing run. I reckon another draw - 2-2.
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Draw
Looter : Tough one to call here as both sides are in terrible form of late. Hull have lost their last three, while City are now seven games without a win. Geovanni will be eager to impress his old employers, but I think the new master Robinho might lead City to a point. 1-1
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Draw
Blackpool vs Preston NE
Shooter : We head to the coast for this towering Lancashire derby, and there really is nothing between these two rivals who sit next to each other in mid-table having both banked 21 points so far. The hosts were turned over by Town last time out, while PNE pinched a late point down in Norwich, so I reckon it'll be a tight draw. 1-1
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : These Lancashire rivals sit side by side in the Championship but it's probably the Tangerines who can feel happier with their form this term, despite a 1-0 loss to Ipswich last time out. Preston drew 2-2 at Carrow Road last time out and I think the spoils might be shared here in what should be a tight affair. 0-0
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Away Win
Blackburn vs Sunderland
Shooter : This one is friends reunited at Ewood after their midweek showdown in the Carling Cup, but this season's Prem is so competitive that home advantage doesn't seem to hold much sway. Rovers have had some tough clashes recently and I think the Cats will get the cream. 1-2
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : Just a point separates these sides going into this game and Blackburn will know they must avoid defeat to halt a likely slide into the bottom three. Sunderland currently lie there, but with Djibril Cisse looking back to his best, I think he can fire the Black Cats to an away triumph against a Rovers defence which looks quite leaky to me this season. 0-2
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Away Win
Fulham vs Tottenham
Shooter : Former basement boys Tottenham are now arguably the form team of the division under Redknapp, who are picking up points faster than a boy racer. It's a short hop across London for them, and Fulham only just edged their win over Newcastle last time out. I reckon 0-2
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : It would be quite easy for Harry Redknapp's side to believe their own hype after a fantastic run of form in the Prem going into this game. I've been spot on in tipping up three of their last four results, but I think they might come a cropper at Craven Cottage. Roy Hodgson's side might not be the best to watch, but they are a team of grafters and I think they can get one over their capital rivals. 2-1
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Home Win
West Brom vs Chelsea
Shooter : Blimey, when you're desperate for a win to lift morale after shipping in three at Anfield to go bottom of the league, the last thing you want is Chelsea rolling into town. Big Phil's Blues are moving through the gears effortlessly and have Drog straining at the leash to partner the free-scoring Anelka. A Baggie bashing for me, 0-4.
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : Chelsea have bagged the points on their last three trips to The Hawthorns and will start as huge favourites again here. And the Blues' record on the road (played six, won six, for 16, against 1) is as fersome as you can get. I just cant see the Baggies scoring, so it's just a question of how many Chelsea get. I'll go for 0-3
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Away Win
West Ham vs Portsmouth
Shooter : Zola's free-falling Hammers have only dealt in wins and defeats at Upton Park this season (3 of each) and Pompey tip up fresh from their first win under Adams and with Defoe desperate to sink his former club. I actually fancy a score draw here, though. 2-2
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Draw
Looter : It's nervous times for the Hammers and new manager Gianfranco Zola after a run of six games without a win. Their inability to keep clean sheets is of biggest alarm and you could almost see them setting up with a pretty rigid 4-4-2 formation in this clash. If West Ham score first, I don't think we'll see a repeat of last week's late collapse against Everton, so I'll tip them to pinch the points in a scrappy 1-0 win.
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Draw
Newcastle vs Wigan Ath
Shooter : Steve Bruce bucked the trend and fielded a strong side at The Emirates as he wanted to do well in the Carling Cup - but they were gunned down by the Wenger boys so head to St James' with tired legs. The Toon lost at Fulham, but only just, and with Owen itching to win his place back I reckon Kinnear's Mags will bag a win. 3-1
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Draw
Looter : Another two sides who are absolutely desperate for the points. Wigan's position probably doesn't reflect their solid displays this season and Bruce will be eager to put that right against a side, whom he has often been linked with. But Newcastle could welcome back Michael Owen, while Wigan are likely to be without Emile Heskey and I think that fact alone could make the difference. 2-0
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Draw
Man Utd vs Stoke City
Shooter : There's no doubt about it, Stoke will aim to replicate their Anfield point by parking the bus on the Old Trafford pitch and challenging United to break through their cast-iron defence. QPR were only just edged 1-0 in midweek, but United's big guns will be back as this is must-win game for Sir Alex - and Berba has the brain to pick the Potters' lock and pinch the points. 2-0
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : The Potters will at least have nothing to fear going into this game after holding Liverpool, beating Arsenal and giving Chelsea a decent game too. They'll play with their usual defensive formation and happily let United boss the possession. The key fact in this one will be how long the Potters backline can hold out, but I think United will hold too many aces and should despatch of Stoke relatively comfortably. 2-0
