Cardiff vs Arsenal
Shooter : The Bluebirds are a handful on home turf and van Persie is damn right in saying it'll be a cauldron of noise at Ninian Park, where the hosts have won 8/13 in the league. But the Gunners, like United, always step up a gear after Christmas and seem to relish playing away from the 'library' aka the Emirates. I'll go for 0-2.
Prediction : Away Win    Actual Result : Draw
Looter : Arsenal have slipped up on previous trips to Wales in the cup, most notably at Wrexham in 1991. Arsene Wenger is likely to play one or two kids and former Bluebird Aaron Ramsey is probably going to be one of those. Cardiff are going great guns in the league this season and I genuinely think they can hold Arsenal to a replay. 1-1
Prediction : Draw    Actual Result : Draw
Liverpool vs Everton
Shooter : It'll be a bit like Groundhog Day for these two after their 1-1 draw on Monday night, but Rafa can bring in some fresh faces that were rested for the Prem derby. The Toffees are water-tight at the back so it'll be another close affair - but I fancy the hosts to win 2-0.
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Draw
Looter : Just six days after their Premier League meeting, the Reds and the Blues clash once again. Everton are likely to go with the same system and probably the same personnel, but expect a much-changed Liverpool side with Agger and Mascherano, amongst others, coming in. The pressure will all be on Liverpool, and since Everton were probably the better side on Monday - and given Liverpool's priorties lie elsewhere, I think Everton could be celebrating a shock FA Cup success. 0-1
Prediction : Away Win    Actual Result : Draw
Man Utd vs Tottenham
Shooter : United reached the CC final in midweek but at some price as Evans, Rafael and Anderson were added to an already injury-hit squad. They've still got plenty of class but face a Spurs team lifted by the arrival of the all-action Palacios. I initially fancied Harry's boy to sneak a draw here, but he has admitted he's going to send a weakened team to Old Trafford, where the hosts will win 2-0.
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : This is a dress-rehearsal for the Carling Cup final on March 1 and both sides are likely to want to claim an early success on the other. I expect a real blood and thunder affair, and while I think Tottenham will score, I think United will hold all the aces and just about earn a 2-1 success.
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Home Win
Portsmouth vs Swansea
Shooter : Cuo holders Pompey proved they're ready to fight for their crown with a plucky win at Bristol City in the previous round, and have reunited Pennant and Crouch at Fratton Park, which could be a lethal combination. Swansea turn up with a decent away record (only 4 defeats in 14 league games) but I think Premier class and home advantage will prove enough for the hosts to progress. 3-1
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : The Swans may only be ninth in the Championship but they have actually lost as many times as leaders Wolves so far, so are clearly very tough to beat. They aren't quite so formidable on their travels having lost four times, but Portsmouth are definitely beatable on their home patch and I fancy Jason Scotland to pose more of a goal threat than Crouch and Nugent combined. With that in mind, I'm going to opt for a shock away win and the holders to go tumbling out. 1-2
Prediction : Away Win    Actual Result : Away Win
Sunderland vs Blackburn
Shooter : These two drew 0-0 in the Prem not too long ago, with Roberts missing an absolute sitter for Rovers. Big Sam's influence is really starting to stick with Blackburn, though, and they drubbed Newcastle last time out, while the Cats were tamed by Villa. I fancy 1-2 to Rovers.
Prediction : Away Win    Actual Result : Draw
Looter : These two teams are separated by just two points in the Premier League but it is Rovers who go into this clash in much the better form, having yet to suffer a defeat under Allardyce's charge. These two sides have already played twice at the Stadium of Light this term (they drew 0-0 in the Prem recently, while Rovers were 2-1 winners here in the Carling Cup), so with that in mind, I don't think Blackburn will lose. The smart play here might be to opt for a draw, possibly 1-1, or maybe a repeat of the recent 0-0.
Prediction : Draw    Actual Result : Draw
Torquay vs Coventry
Shooter : It's hardly David vs Goliath here but Torquay will still fancy taking the scalp of the 1987 winners. Problem is Coleman's Sky Blues are not too shabby on the road (4 wins, 5 draws in 14) and come into this tie buoyed by coming from behind to beat Blackpool. I reckon 1-1.
Prediction : Draw    Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : A fascinating tie sees giant-killers Torquay host Coventry in a match which has all the ingredients of your typical David vs Goliath - if the Sky Blues could be described as that!! Coventry travel to Devon having sold their most creative player this week in Jay Tabb and he will be an obvious miss. But they should just about have the firepower to beat Torquay, so I'll opt for a narrow away win. 0-1
Prediction : Away Win    Actual Result : Away Win
West Brom vs Burnley
Shooter : The Baggies have got some momentum going at just the right time, having won 3 home games on the trot and also beaten Posh on the road. The Clarets will be somewhat deflated after their Carling Cup exploits, and I reckon Mowbray will field a strong Albion to try and keep that winning feeling going at The Hawthorns. 3-1 to the hosts.
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Draw
Looter : All of a sudden the mood in the Albion camp has been lifted and you genuinely fancy their chances of avoiding the drop now. Some might see the cup as an unnecessary distraction, but Tony Mowbray will be well aware of what a good cup run can do. Burnley have been great in the cup this season, but after their Carling Cup semi-final exit to Spurs in midweek, I think they'll soon follow suit here, especially with promotion their main goal. 2-1
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Draw
Wolves vs Middlesbro'
Shooter : Wolves' impressive home form (10 wins in 14) is one of the reasons they're leading the race for promotion and they're full of goals at Molineux. Boro, meanwhile, are right in a survival scrap and struggling for goals - with Alves wasteful and both Downing & Tuncay distracted by transfer window whispers. I reckon a 'shock' 2-0 win.
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : I know Steve Gibson is not one for sacking managers, but defeat in this one could be the straw that breaks the camel's back. Wolves, top of the table, will be eager to prove they would be a worthy addition to the Premier League and tackle a Boro side who have just one win in 11 (against non-league Barrow) to their name. Wolves will be narrow favourites here - and it's hard to go against them. 2-0
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Away Win
Kettering vs Fulham
Shooter : Fulham have struggled to find the net away from Craven Cottage this season (just 3 goals in 10 Prem games) but West Ham apart, they're not conceding many either. Kettering will be bang up for this one, but I think Fulham's Premier class will rise to the top and help them secure a narrow 1-0 win.
Prediction : Away Win    Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : The Cottagers won't exactly relish a trip to Northamptonshire and their non-league opponents will really be fired up to claim a shock. I do actually think they could score as Fulham looked shaky at West Ham last week, but Premier League class should shine through and I'm backing Roy Hodgson's troops to ease through. 1-3
Prediction : Away Win    Actual Result : Away Win
Sheff Utd vs Charlton
Shooter : The free-falling Addicks are hurtling towards League One and won't relish a return to Sheffield so soon after their 4-1 humbling at Hillsborough by United's arch rivals Wednesday. The Blades don't seem to be missing Beattie too much, and should cut down the Londoners with relative ease - I reckon 3-0.
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : It's desperate times for all associated with Charlton right now and an FA Cup clash will be an unwelcome distraction from their bid to stay in the Championship. For that reason, I doubt they'll put up too much of a contest and I think the Blades - a side with decent cup pedigree - should ease through. 2-0
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Home Win
