Archived tips :
Blackburn vs West Ham
Shooter : West Ham looked like they're running out of gas in a dour 0-0 draw with West Brom on Monday night, and really missed the attacking thrust of Cole and Collison. Blackburn, meanwhile, were gunned down at The Emirates but will see this as an ideal chance to bank three precious points towards their survival bid. I reckon 3-1
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Draw
Looter : There's certainly more pressure on Rovers to win this one, but with West Ham sensing a European spot for a seventh-placed finish, you wouldn't rule them out getting a result. The Hammers were 1-0 winners at Wigan last time on the road, but were dire against WBA on Monday, so I think Rovers might edge this. 2-1
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Draw
Fulham vs Man Utd
Shooter : Liverpool had a fantastic day at Old Trafford and have been basking in the glory of their 4-1 win - but I think it'll only serve as a wake-up call to United and Sir Alex will demand a response. They won the recent FA Cup tie at Craven Cottage at a canter - and I think it'll be another comfortable win for the visitors. 0-2
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : United recently strolled to a 4-0 win here in the FA Cup and although I don't think they'll find it quite so easy again, it would be folly to rule against them. Add into the mix that they're a wounded beast after last weekend's defeat to Liverpool, and you probably do fear for Fulham in this one. 0-3
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Home Win
Newcastle vs Arsenal
Shooter : Owen might be back for the Magpies but Hughton is still at the helm and I honestly think he'll take them down this season. The Wenger boys are in red-hot form and full of goals once again, so I think they'll cruise to a convincing away victory. 1-3
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : Arsenal (one defeat in 20 games) take on Newcastle (one win in 2009): it's simple really. The Gunners have hit form and have key players coming back; Newcastle are in dire straits and will be lucky to avoid the drop. 1-2
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Away Win
Stoke City vs Middlesbro'
Shooter : Pulis' Potters are in the bottom three but only because of their shocking away form. At The Brit they're a different beast and have won seven times already this season. Boro pinched a late point against Pompey but are hapless on the road and will tumble to an 11th defeat on the road. 2-0
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : There won't be many bigger matches down the wrong end of the Premier League table this season and you wouldn't want to be in the dressing room of the losing side in this one. Stoke go into this match as big favourites because of their impressive home record, but Boro have not been playing badly and I think they can nick a point out of this one. 1-1
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Home Win
Tottenham vs Chelsea
Shooter : Tottenham's tails are up after beating Villa and pulling clear of the relegation dogfight, and Aaron Lennon is in the form of his life. They face a Chelsea side on roll under Hiddink and bolstered by Essien's return, but I fancy this to be a cracking derby draw. 2-2
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : Such has been Spurs' improvement recently that there's talk all of a sudden of the club claiming a European place. Whether they make it or not remains to be seen, but the match against Guus Hiddink's rejuvenated Chelsea should test exactly how far they have come. But the Blues have a great record against Spurs - and I'd be surprised to see them let that slip here. However, a draw looks likely to me. 1-1
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Home Win
West Brom vs Bolton
Shooter : This really is it for the rockbottom Baggies, who wasted a fine chance to bag all three points against a woeful West Ham on Monday. They're 6 points from safety with 2 home games v Bolton and Stoke next up, so simply HAVE to win this game. The Trotters have gone off the boil in recent games and I think they'll lose 2-1 here.
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Draw
Looter : It really is do or die time for West Brom as failure to win this one will probably almost mean the drop is a certainty. I'm sure Tony Mowbray will have his troops fired up and a good start is essential in this one. I'll back West Brom to get it before adding a second during the second half, with Bolton slotting in a late consolation. 2-1
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Draw
Liverpool vs Aston Villa
Shooter : Villa seem to be wilting under the pressure of Arsenal's relentless chase for fourth spot, and next up is a trip to Anfield to face a Reds team still basking in the glory of their Old Trafford rout. The Torres-Gerrard combo is firing on all cylinders and Liverpool have a cracking record against the Villans. 3-0 for me.
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : What a shame Villa's form has hit the buffers at exactly the wrong time. Liverpool, on the other hand, will be buoyed by their four-goal beatings of Real and Man United, and with Rafa's new contract signed, sealed and delivered, you'd expect them to edge home here. 2-0
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Home Win
Man City vs Sunderland
Shooter : Mark Hughes' Jekyll & Hyde team are back on home turf, where they've proved too hot to handle for most visitors this season. The likes of Elano, SWP, Ireland and Robinho will have the Black Cats chasing their tails so I'm plumping for a 3-1 win to the hosts.
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : Whisper it quietly, but I think the 10-1 on offer on Sunderland going down looks pretty tempting to me - especially as their big players Jones and Cisse have stopped performing. City, although prtobably tired from their midweek UEFA Cup exertions, should just about have too much for the Black Cats, so I'll say home win. 1-0
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Home Win
Wigan Ath vs Hull City
Shooter : It'll be hard for Hull to pick themselves after the cup heartache at the hands of the Gunners in midweek, but they'll arrive at The JJB looking to leave with a point towards their survival bid. Wigan are in fairly safe position so I think they'll struggle for motivation to go for the throat, leading to a 1-1 draw.
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : Hull have really lost their way since the turn of the year and you can tell the Tigers are now playing with real fear. I think their excellent start should ensure another season of top-flight football, but Wigan are back in-form and chasing a top-10 finish. A win here will help their cause. 1-0
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Home Win
Crystal Palace vs Reading
Shooter : The Eagles had their wings clipped in a 3-1 midweek battering at Barnsley, while the Royals got their automatic promotion bid back on track with a hard-fought win at Doncaster. Coppell's experience seems to be kicking in as Reading chase down Birmingham, and I reckon they'll storm the Palace and leave with all three points. 1-2
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Draw
Looter : Both these sides endured mixed fortunes in midweek, with Reading winning at Doncaster and Palace slipping up at Barnsley. Current form really goes out the window in this one, given neither side seems capable of stringing results together, so I'll back Reading - and their greater urgency for the points, to just about triumph. 1-2
