Archived tips :
Holland vs Scotland
Shooter : The injuries are piling up for Scotland gaffer George Burley, who already had a tough assignment getting anything out of the Dutch. The Scots have won just 1 of their last 5 games, scoring twice in that run of 2 defeats and 2 draws. An easy win for Holland, 2-0.
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : The Dutch have made a perfect start to qualifying with maximum points from their three games played. Scotland have an indifferent record with 4 points taken from their three matches, and will put up a good fight in Amsterdam, before slipping to a narrow defeat. 2-1
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Home Win
England vs Slovakia
Shooter : England lost their last game, but losing to European champions Spain is no disgrace and I don't think it will have affected Fabio's boys too much, especially as they'd won 5 on the trot before then, scoring 16 goals in the process. I fancy a 2-0 scoreline.
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : It makes pleasant reading if you're an England fan, with Capello's troops having won four out of four in qualifying. Slovakia were beaten 2-1 on their last trip to England, but I don't think they'll score this time in a comfortable win for the hosts. 2-0
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Home Win
Republic of Ireland vs Bulgaria
Shooter : Robbie Keane is so important to the Republic that him being a happy bunny back at the Lane should ensure the player that bagged a brace to beat Georgia last time out is on the pitch. The hosts have won 3 of their last 5 games under Trapattoni, so I'm going for 2-1.
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Draw
Looter : Bulgaria have drawn three out of three qualifiers so far and will happily take a draw in this one given the choice before hand. But the Irish are rejuvenated under Trapattoni, and after the Six Nations success last week, expect the footballers to maintain that feel-good factor. 2-1
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Draw
Wales vs Finland
Shooter : Three of Wales' last 5 games have ended a 1-0 scoreline and Toshack has really tightened things up at the back and got his young Dragons firing on all cylinders. Their record is 3 wins and 3 defeats in their last 6 games, so avoid the draw option - I'll go for 1-0!
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : Both sides will go into this match knowing nothing less than a win really will do. The hosts will hand a late fitness test to skipper Craig Bellamy, and he will be key if passed fit. But Finland are no mugs and can leave the province with a draw. 1-1
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Away Win
Northern Ireland vs Poland
Shooter : This is a tricky one as Worthington's troops put seven goals past San Marino in two games recently without conceding - but then lost 2-0 to Hungary on home turf. Healy and Brunt shoulder much of the attacking responsibility for the hosts, but I fancy the Poles to be dancing after a 2-1 away win.
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : 'Norn' Iron' have been full of goals in qualifying so far, having already bagged eight times, but it's their leaky defence which will be of most concern to Nigel Worthington. But I think the Poles have far greater quality throughout their side and I think they'll edge a tense encounter. 1-2
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Home Win
Leeds United vs MK Dons
Shooter : The MK Dons have 10 times on the road this season so will arrive at Elland Road in confident mood, even though they chucked away a 2-0 lead to draw with Crewe in midweek. The Whites have won 13 on home soil but I think the deadly Dons can pinch a point. 2-2 for me.
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : The Whites have finally found some form and go into this game unbeaten in seven and with seven straight home wins under their belts. But the Dons are no mugs having collected an impressive 10 away wins on the road. I think the smart money would be on the draw in this one. 2-2
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Home Win
Brighton vs Tranmere
Shooter : Both these teams need the point badly for different reasons, with the hosts battling for survival and Rovers pushing for the play-offs. Brighton's home form is scratchy (just 4 wins and 10 defeats) but Tranmere arrive with a pretty poor away record (10 defeats on the road) so I'm going to go for a share of the spoils. 1-1
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Draw
Looter : Tranmere are on the cusp of the play-off spots and will know their away form must improve if they are to achieve that. Brighton have been a shambles since the turn of the year, but new boss Russell Slade has restored a bit of order and I think this will be a stalemate. 1-1
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Draw
Crewe vs Millwall
Shooter : Crewe's red-hot form has gone off the boil in recent games, but their tails will be up after coming from 2-0 down to earn a 2-2 draw with MK Dons in midweek. Problem is they face a Lions team full of beans after winning 4 of the last 5 games - and their last 5 away matches on the trot. I reckon 3-1 to the visitors.
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : The Alex came back from 2-0 down to draw with MK Dons in midweek and also scored twice in the second half to almost deny Leeds in a 3-2 defeat in the match before, so they'll know a good start is imperative. But Millwall were 3-2 winners at Hartlepool last time on the road and I think they'll claim another win here. 1-2
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Away Win
Hereford United vs Huddersfield
Shooter : This is an absolute must-win game for the Bulls if they are to have any hope of League One survival this season as although they are cut adrift this is one of their games in hand. They've only won 6 of 18 at home but face a Terriers team happier at home than on their travels, so I'm going for a hard-fought 1-0 win.
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : The Bulls claimed a morale-boosting 2-1 win at Carlisle in midweek and will go into this encounter in good spirits against a Town side, who have already suffered eight defeats on the road. With Huddersfield destined for a mid-table finish, Hereford's need for the points is greater, so I'll back them to edge to a win. 1-0
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Away Win
Yeovil vs Swindon
Shooter : There's not much between these two relegation rivals and it'll be a tense affair. Yeovil are in trouble mainly due to just 3 home wins all season and a staggering 9 draws - the most in the league. Swindon turn up having drawn 8, lost 8 and won 2 on the road, so I'm going for another stalemate, 1-1.
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : This is a vital match at the lower reaches of League One, with nothing less than a win good enough for the troubled hosts. But Swindon were 4-3 winners at Northampton in midweek and can pick up another win here, thanks to hot-shot Simon Cox. 2-3
