Shooter : Pompey may have new owners but believe me they are in dire straits, and after seeing their summer transfer business I think they'll be fighting relegation all season. Villa are on the up so this has to be a mortgage job home banker. 3-1 for me.
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : For a team with top-four aspirations, Villa's record of just four wins at home in 2009 is nothing short of woeful, but they come up against a Pompey side who are pointless so far this term. Paul Hartc has a new-look side side and I think they'll hold firm and grab a point. 1-1

Bolton vs Stoke City
Shooter : The Trotters pinched a precious away win at Fratton Park - and I think the Potters will do the same at The Reebok. They've got Tuncay chomping at the bit to start and pushed Chelsea right to the wire after spending well this summer. I reckon 0-1 or 1-2 to Stoke.

Looter : The Potters were beaten 3-1 on the opening day of last term, prompting one (silly) bookie to pay up on them going down straight away. They've come a long way since then and having found their feet in the Prem, they can actually go to The Reebok and pinch a rare away win. 0-1

Hull City vs Birmingham City
Shooter : I don't think Blues will be great travellers under McLeish this season as he is very defensive-minded. For the Tigers to survive again they need to win home games - so Brown will see this as a must-win game and go for the throat from the off. 2-0

Looter : There's plenty riding on this one, given both will be in the relegation shake-up at the end of the term. Blues have lost both matches on their travels this term and I just think Hull pack slightly more class, with home advantage making all the difference. 2-1

West Ham vs Liverpool
Shooter : Rafa's Reds have yet to click into gear this season and only just saw off Debrecen in the CL. They'll always be a threat, though, and former Hammer Benayoun is in stellar form. I think it'll be tight as the Irons will set out to frustrate - but I'm going for 0-1.

Looter : Saturday evening's televised game promises much, with this fixture never short on goals. The Reds have won on two of their last three visits here, but I just have a feeling that Hammers new boy Alessandro Diamanti, who looks a class act, will fire West Ham to victory. 2-1

Chelsea vs Tottenham
Shooter : Spurs flew out of the traps to spark talk of reaching the top four - but they got a dose of reality v Man Utd and I think they'll get another one here. It should be a cracking London derby and I think there'll be some good goals - 2-1 to the table-topping Blues.

Looter : Sunday's televised game - and shoot4theloot decider - is expected to be a belter, with both sides enjoying fantastic starts to the season. Had this been at White Hart Lane, I'd have expected Spurs to get something, but a trip to the Bridge is never easy. And with Didier Drogba back from his midweek suspension woes, expect the Drog to fire Chelsea to a big win. 3-0

Everton vs Blackburn
Shooter : The Toffees may be mired in the bottom three but I don't think there'll be any sense of panic from Moyes, who has seen it all before. Rovers racked up a win last time out - but I think they'll leave Goodison a defeated team. 2-0

Looter : Hardly a Lancashire hot-pot this one - neither side has enjoyed good starts to the season and it'll be two nervous sides running out at Goodison Park on Sunday. Blackburn look short on goals and invention up front, so I'll tip Everton to win to nil, possibly 1-0 or 2-0.

Man Utd vs Man City
Shooter : If Mark Hughes had got his first-choice team, with the likes of Robinho, Tevez and Adebayor available, I might have taken a punt on a shock away win - but Bellamy and Benjani could be up front at OT, so I'm backing them to hold the champions to a 2-2 draw.

Looter : Ooo, it's a derby cracker! And this time it really is. But City, for all the millions they have spent this summer, have real problems in attack, and may have to operate with Craig Bellamy as a lone frontman. That may compliment their game though and I think he can help them pinch a point and serve notice of their title intentions. 1-1

Wolves vs Fulham
Shooter : Don't worry about Fulham being tired after their European exploits, as Roy Hodgson rested 9 first-teamers for the Europa League tie. I honestly think Wolves have more chance of winning away this season as the Molineux crowd get restless very easily. 1-2

Looter : It's a bit of a Sunday stinker this one, though it will be interesting to take a first look at new boys Wolves, who have made a tentative start to life back in the top flight. Fulham may be weary from Thursday's Europa Cup trip to Bulgaria, so I'll back Wolves to take full advantage. 1-0

Arsenal vs Wigan Ath
Shooter : Martinez may want Wigan to play like Barcelona this season, but it'll be the Gunners calling the shots at The Emirates and they'll be buzzing after their stunning CL comeback win over Standard Liege. I reckon it'll be 3-1 to Wenger's boys.

Looter : Wigan are trying to play the game the right way under Roberto Martinez, but may need to mix things up a bit when they go to Arsenal as you don't play Arsenal at their own game and come off the winners. That said, a leopard can't change his spots, so expect Arsenal - beaten at Manchesters City and United recently - to take their anger out on Wigan. 4-0

Watford vs Leicester
Shooter : There's literally nothing between these two after solid starts to the season, and I don't think they'll be separated come the final whistle at Vicarage Road. Both outfits are tough to break down, but I don't think it'll be a stalemate so am going for a 1-1 draw.

Looter : The Hornets have leapt into the Championship's top six, but they're not playing pretty stuff in all honesty. Saturday's game with Leicester might well be a war of attrition and I think the spoils will be shared. 1-1
