Archived tips :
Bolton vs Tottenham
Shooter : The Trotters are not so hot at The Reebok, having picked up 6 of their 7 PL points on the road so far - and although Spurs could be missing Defoe, they'll still have in-form pair Keane and Crouch to lead their line, and look strong away from home this season. 0-2
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Draw
Looter : Spurs have made a flying start to the season, while it looks like being another campaign of torment for Trotters fans. But Tottenham have a woeful record at The Reebok and have lost on six of their last eight visits there, so I'll tip Bolton to extend their misery. 2-1
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Draw
Burnley vs Birmingham City
Shooter : The Clarets have won 3/3 on home turf so far this season - and I think they'll keep that momentum going for a few months yet as Turf Moor is an old-school ground with a raucous support. Blues are quite defensive so don't expect a glut of goals - 2-0 the hosts.
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : The Clarets have a perfect home record having beaten Man United, Everton and Sunderland at Turf Moor. But Birmingham - 1-0 winners at Hull during that last away trip - will set up with their usual 4-5-1 formation and are capable of pinching a point. 1-1
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Home Win
Hull City vs Wigan Ath
Shooter : Hull are in rotten form, can't stop conceding goals and have a boss under huge pressure; Wigan are buzzing after stunning Chelsea, so there's only one way this one is going eh? I actually think the Tigers will bare their teeth and earn a 'shock' home win. 2-1
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : Latics were 5-0 winners here early on last season and another off-day like that could cost Phil Brown his job. I was correct to predict seven-goals at Anfield last week - and I expect another avalanche here. 2-4
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Home Win
Wolves vs Portsmouth
Shooter : They may deny it, but all the signs are that Pompey don't have a pot to p*** in despite the takeover, and a delay in paying wages is hardly going to lift spirits in the bottom club's ranks. Wolves are getting key players back to full fitness, so I'm going for 3-0.
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : Mick McCarthy has already identified this clash as a crunch one in both these sides' seasons. Wolves have been inconsistent at home so far, having won one, drawn one and lost one. But don't be fooled by Pompey's horrific record of seven defeats so far - anyone who saw them lose to Everton last weekend will know they've been unlucky - and I think they'll grab their first win here. 1-2
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Away Win
Arsenal vs Blackburn
Shooter : Monsieur Wenger is now the Gunners' longest-serving manager in history, and should celebrate that achievement with a routine home victory here. Big Sam's boys are pretty shonky on the road, and although they'll kick and fight it'll be futile. 3-0.
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : The Gunners have only played twice on home turf so far this season, but their record of eight goals scored, one conceded is already pretty formidable. Blackburn don't look very good to me, and although I think they'll keep the score down, I can't look beyond a home win. 2-0
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Home Win
Chelsea vs Liverpool
Shooter : Both teams were pretty poor in midweek Champions League action and neither have found top gear yet. Mascherano should be back for the Reds, but their defence is too leaky for my liking and I think Anelka could be the Blues' hero by netting against his former club. 2-1
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : After one of Liverpool's worst-ever displays under Benitez in midweek, the Reds have a perfect chance to roar back at Stamford Bridge. Xabi Alonso struck the winner in the same game last season, and although he is no longer at the club, I think a repeat scoreline could be on the cards. 0-1
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Home Win
Everton vs Stoke City
Shooter : The Potters were surprisingly poor in defeat by United, so Pulis will have fired a rocket up their ar*** and may finally hand Tuncay a starting role at Goodison. They'll always be hard to break down but now have goals in their armoury so I think it could be 1-1 or 2-2.
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Draw
Looter : Two draws on their travels already represents an improvement away from home for Stoke. But Everton - with Louis Saha currently on fire - are upwardly mobile and I expect them to brush aside a Stoke side still likely to be without former Toffee James Beattie. 2-0
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Draw
West Ham vs Fulham
Shooter : Fulham's European exertions are having a negative affect on their domestic form, with their squad being stretched to the limits. West Ham have also made a poor start but look lively at home and are due a few breaks, which I think they'll get here. 2-0
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Draw
Looter : Tricky one to call this, with neither side really hitting the heights this season. But Fulham will be the more tired of the sides having been involved in midweek Europa League action, so I'll tip the Hammers to sneak their first home league win this season. 1-0
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Draw
Rangers vs Celtic
Shooter : Rangers were given a thorough footballing lesson by Sevilla in midweek but it's back to the SPL standard this weekend, with Mowbray's Bhoys the Ibrox visitors. It's going to be a tight title race this season, and I can't see a winner here. 0-0 or 1-1.
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : A huge match as ever, but the worrying stat for Rangers going into this one is their record of just one goal scored in 360 minutes of football. These games are never pretty to watch, yet always great spectacles due to the rivalry. Goals will be short once again, so I'll tip up a 0-0 draw.
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Home Win
Derby vs Sheff Weds
Shooter : Derby's home form (won 3/5) is just about keeping their head above water at the moment, but morale will be low as they were hit for six by Cardiff midweek. Wednesday keep things nice and tight on the road so this will be a low-scoring encounter - and I'm going for 0-1.
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : Although in different counties, this one is as good as a derby and it's a match neither will want to lose. The Rams were spanked 6-1 in midweek so Clough jnr will expect a reaction and I think he'll get one in a narrow home win for the hosts. 2-1
