Bolton vs Blackburn
Shooter : This is not going to be one to stay up for on MOTD as Megson v Allardyce is going to be a war of attrition. The Trotters were thumped at Villa while Rovers put three past Pompey - but Blackburn are awful on the road so I'm going for a 2-1 home win.
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : Your feast of football this Sunday features a Lancashire hot-pot between Bolton and Blackburn - a feisty encounter at the best of times. And with Sam Allardyce making a return to The Reebok, there'll be extra spice on the menu this time around.
Neither side has been scoring too many goals this term, so I think goals will be at a premium here. And I'd back more players to see red than I would to see the net bulge. 0-0
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Away Win
Stoke City vs Portsmouth
Shooter : The Potters are in the top 10 deservedly so, and have had a long time to stew on Hull's last-gasp winner at the KC Stadium so will be bang up for this one. Pompey were undone at Ewood and I'm afraid I can't see them picking up any points here either. 2-0
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : The Potters have yet to really hit top form at home this term, and having been held by Wolves on their last home date, will be eager to put that right.
Pompey have shown some small shoots of improvement on their travels of late, but still lost 3-1 to Blackburn last time out, and with little away support to back them (Pompey have only sold 1400 of their 2,900 allocated seats), expect them to be out-sung and out-gunned. 2-0
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Home Win
Tottenham vs Wigan Ath
Shooter : Wigan look a decent outfit under Martinez and have won twice on the road this season - problem is they've also lost 4 on their travels, and face a Spurs side who have serious aspirations of cracking the top four and have the manager and squad to do it. 3-1
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : This encounter ended in a goalless stalemate last term - as tipped up by Looter - though Spurs were a very different side back then given it was at the back end of Juande Ramos' reign. Harry Redknapp has his troops firing on all cylinders and they're proving a pretty tough nut to crack at home. Latics average almost two goals conceded per game on their travels - so don't expect them to get anything here. 3-0
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Home Win
Birmingham City vs Fulham
Shooter : Blues were only denied three points at Anfield by the 'diving' David Ngog, while Jerome and Benitez looked a fearsome front pairing. Fulham are pretty handy at the back, though, and I think they've got enough quality in Murphy, Gera and Kamara to earn a point. 1-1 or 2-2
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : Extremely tough one to call this, given that Birmingham's home record reads played six, won two, drawn two, lost two, while Fulham boast three draws from their six away games to date.
Blues were extremely unfortunate to only get a draw at Anfield last time out and I think they'll just have enough to edge out the Cottagers and scrape a 1-0 victory.
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Home Win
Burnley vs Aston Villa
Shooter : Burnley kept their early-season momentum going with a thrilling, goal-laden draw at Eastlands to set them up nicely for another home game. Turf Moor has proved fruitful for them (5 wins in 6) so far but their defence looks dodgy to me and Villa love to counter-attack. 1-2
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Draw
Looter : The Clarets' boast a home record bettered only by Manchester United and Chelsea this term, so will have nothing to fear about tackling Villa. But the visitors are bettered geared for hitting teams on the break and if they can keep it tight defensively, I'd back them to pinch the points and silence Turf Moor. 1-2
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Draw
Hull City vs West Ham
Shooter : The Hammers are in trouble - big trouble, and will be facing a Tigers team who have basked in the glory of their last-gasp win over Stoke for a fair while now. The pressure has been slightly lifted on Phil Brown so I think the hosts will have enough confidence to win. 2-0
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Draw
Looter : Another huge game this weekend, with both sides fighting for their Premier League lives - even at this early stage of the campaign. West Ham should have Carlton Cole back in the side after he missed their home defeat to Everton last time out, but I don't think even his presence will lift them to a win. I think it will be tense, but it's a narrow home win for me. 1-0
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Draw
Liverpool vs Man City
Shooter : City have become draw specialists in recent weeks but have quality oozing throughout their squad, something which cannot be said about the Anfield men. Gerrard could be back, and boy do they need him. Rafa's Reds simply can't lose, and I reckon it'll be 2-2.
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Draw
Looter : You cannot really put a price on what a win will be worth to the winner in this game, since these sides are likely to be vying for the final Champions League spot at the end of the season.
The Reds hope to have a number of key players - led by Gerrard - back in the side and I think he'll help inspire them to a massive (and much-needed) win. There will be goals, so I'll say 3-2.
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Draw
Sunderland vs Arsenal
Shooter : It'll be interesting to see what happens when the goals dry up for Arsenal, who will be missing van Persie - but not that much as it gives Eduardo the chance to shine. Fabregas is almost unplayable at the moment and although Sunderland's home form is good, I think the cream will rise to the top. 1-3
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : The Gunners go into this game with terrible luck on the injury front, but despite adding van Persie and Gibbs to their ever-bulging treatment room, they'll still have a decent team out on Wearside.
That said, the Black Cats have been impressive at home (losing just the once - to Chelsea) so I expect a repeat of last season's 1-1 draw.
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Home Win
Man Utd vs Everton
Shooter : The Toffees are starting to get some of their big names back to fitness and won at West Ham last time out so morale is on the rise. Saha will be desperate to impress his former employers and he could find the net, but it'll be United celebrating at full-time. 3-1
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : There are still punters out there persisting with their claim that United are 'past it', but with five wins and a draw from their six home games to date, I certainly can't see it. What I will say though (as Man City proved) is that they're not looking as tight at the back, so I'd certainly back Everton to score, and maybe (who knows) take an early lead.
But United aren't three-time defending champions for nothing and with Antonio Valencia starting to look like a real player, I think they'll hit back to overcome the Toffees - but only just. 2-1
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Home Win
Barnsley vs Cardiff
Shooter : This should be a belting game as both teams like to play football the right way and Messrs Robins & Jones like to entertain. I think there'll be quite a few goals at Oakwell, but can't see a winner emerging here so am going for a 2-2 draw.
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : It pains me to say it, but I think the Bluesbirds have been the best side in the Championship so far this term and have all the ingredients in place to secure promotion. Their away record could certainly improve with three defeats suffered in their seven games, but I think they'll secure that comfortably on a ground where they have won on three of their last four visits. 0-2
