Archived tips :
Liverpool vs Arsenal
Shooter : The Reds' season is going from bad to worse, and although Messrs Torres and Gerrard should be reunited for this humdinger I still fancy the Gunners to pinch a precious away win. Get on Arshavin to score at any time too, as he bagged four goals here last season. 1-3
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : After the comedown of their failed European campaign, the Reds urgently need wins to edge back up the league. Torres and Gerrard will finally be back in tandem for the Reds, while the Gunners have lost three on their travels already. A narrow home win. 2-1
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Away Win
Middlesbro' vs Cardiff
Shooter : Boro were beaten by Blackpool in midweek while Cardiff put a dent in West Brom's promotion bid, so the obvious steer is to go for a Bluebirds win. Boro clicked into gear at QPR, though, scoring 5 and I think Kitson and Lita will net in a home win for the Teessiders. 2-1
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : Boro have been in dire form under Gordon Strachan and the midweek hammering by Blackpool will have done little to raise morale. Cardiff are flying under Dave Jones and won here in the FA Cup two seasons ago on their last trip to Boro so will have every confidence of a repeat. 0-2
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Away Win
Birmingham City vs West Ham
Shooter : The Hammers are hovering precariously above the relegation zone - but I think they'll be in it come the end of the weekend. Cole's absence is really hurting Zola's strugglers, while Blues are full of beans under McLeish - and won at Wigan last time out. 3-0 for me.
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : It's a measure of the good job Alex McLeish has done at Birmingham that the club are now in the top half having picked up four wins in their last six games. West Ham look troubled with Carlton Cole out and with Lee Bowyer keen to sink his old club, expect another home win for rampant Blues. 1-0
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Home Win
Bolton vs Man City
Shooter : Hughes has got all of his big guns back now, with Robinho, Tevez and Adebayor his Three Amigos in the forward positions. City's win over Chelsea will instil a belief in them that they can break the Big Four - and I can't see Bolton halting their charge here. 1-4
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Draw
Looter : It's a clash of just about everything at The Reebok, but don't be fooled by City's millions and their lofty position in the table as they have still only won twice in seven away from home. Bolton are scrapping for their lives and I expect that fight will earn them a morale-boosting point. 1-1
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Draw
Burnley vs Fulham
Shooter : Don't be fooled by the scoreline from Burnley's 2-0 defeat at Fratton Park - they bossed possession, looked the better team but just didn't take their chances. They seem to be more clinical at Turf Moor, and I think they'll have more hunger to win than Roy's boys. 2-0
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Draw
Looter : The Clarets still boast the best home record outside the top four with only Wigan, bizarrely, having won at Turf Moor. The Cottagers are a decent outfit on the road though and with no midweek Europa League game for 'Woy' Hodgson's side, I fancy the visitors to bag the win. 1-2
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Draw
Chelsea vs Everton
Shooter : The struggling Toffees may have some momentum from their fightback against Spurs, but I'm afraid not enough to leave Stamford Bridge with anything but a damaged goals against column. Ancelotti will demand a response from his table-toppers - and he'll get one. 3-0
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Draw
Looter : It's the old cliche, but Everton really are too good to go down. However, if results go against them this weekend, they could find themselves in the bottom three. The Blues were held by Apoel Nicosia in midweek, but talk of a fuming Carlo Ancelotti staging a dressing room lock-in after the final whistle will surely have them fired up. Home win here. 3-0
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Draw
Hull City vs Blackburn
Shooter : It was no coincidence that Hull's improved form went hand in hand with Jimmy Bullard's return to the first team. Trouble is, he's crocked again - and the Tigers were tamed with ease by Villa. This won't be pretty as Rovers will get stuck in, so 0-0 or 1-1.
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Draw
Looter : Two sides in relatively decent form meet at Ewood Park, but it's hard to choose a winner with both these teams desperately scrapping for points. Hull are of course without Jimmy Bullard but will try and draw inspiration from their recent win here over Everton, which was achieved without the curly-haired messiah. And I think they can do it again - but only just. 1-0
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Draw
Sunderland vs Portsmouth
Shooter : Hats off to Pompey's players, they're doing a pretty good job considering all the negativity swirling around Fratton Park, where there's delayed wages, talk of administration and general chaos off the pitch. They beat Burnley but were poor in doing so, so I'm backing the Black Cats to get back in the winning groove. 3-0
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Draw
Looter : Pompey hope to have David James back between the sticks as they look to build on last week's morale-boosting win over Burnley. A trip to Sunderland has already proved uneasy for bigger teams than Pompey, but I just think Avram Grant's side can pick up a point here. 1-1
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Draw
Tottenham vs Wolves
Shooter : Don't let their win over Bolton deceive you: Wolves are a poor team and are destined for the the drop as they have very little Prem quality, which I think will be ruthlessly exposed here. The likes of Lennon and Defoe will be licking their lips at facing Craddock and co, so I think it'll be a convincing home win, maybe 5-1!
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : Spurs are riding high in fourth spot and it will be damage limitation early doors for Mick McCarthy's side. I expect Mick's men to score here - and perhaps even take the lead - before being pegged back by a Spurs side still reeling from their dropped points at Everton. 2-1
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Away Win
Man Utd vs Aston Villa
Shooter : United may be struggling for bodies at the back, and could have a makeshift defence once again, but it matters little when you're scoring goals for fun - and just adds to the excitement. I fancy Villa to score a few, but am backing the hosts to score more in an Old Trafford Christmas cracker. 4-2
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : United hope their patched-up defence will be boosted by the inclusion of Nemanja Vidic and his experience will be vital in taming Villa's pacy attacks. But it is down the flanks where I think they look vulnerable and I think James Milner (against an inexperienced right-back - most probably Darren Fletcher) can win the day for Villa. A shock away win here for me. 1-2
