Shooter : The Clarets are three points better off and four places above the Trotters and have a pretty tidy home record too, so have to go into this one as heavy favourites despite losing at Wolves. Bolton are rotten on the road, so I'm going for a 3-1 home win.
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Draw
Looter : No wins from seven outings is worrying form for the Clarets and they could slip into the bottom three with defeat in this one. Bolton haven't got the results of late that their football deserves and I think they can pick up a potentially crucial win here. 1-2

Sunderland vs Everton
Shooter : Sunderland are stuttering quite badly but had Cattermole back in their engine room at Eastlands and he made a visible difference, which will be even greater on home turf. The Toffees picked up a point against Blues, and I think they'll get another here. 2-2

Looter : The Cats were 4-3 losers last time out against Man City, but are a different animal at home and more than not raise their game. The Toffees haven't been their usual slick selves on the road having lost five times already and with injuries biting hard, I think this will be their sixth away-day loss. 1-0

Wigan Ath vs Blackburn
Shooter : Wigan have had a decent break since losing at Anfield, while Rovers are still licking their wounds after Spurs won at Ewood. Blackburn get travel sickness big time and although this is only a short hop across Lancashire, I still think they'll end up beaten though. 2-0

Looter : Rovers had been in decent nick until last weekend's defeat to Spurs, but don't read too much into the defeat as they still played some decent stuff in that one. Wigan were frustrated by the weather last time out, so will be bang up for this one. A narrow home win for me. 2-1

Leicester vs Sheff Utd
Shooter : This is a battle of two play-off hopefuls who are starting to get their act together ahead of the crunch festive period which sets things up for the vital second half. It'll be a combative affair and not one for the purists, so I'm going for a 0-0 or 1-1 draw.
Prediction : Draw    Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : These two sides are likely to be battling for the play-offs and this Boxing Day showdown could have a big bearing come the end of the season. The Foxes are handy at home, but certainly not unbeatable, while the Blades have won four, drawn two and lost four on the road, so the smart money suggests a score draw. 1-1 or 2-2.

Arsenal vs Aston Villa
Shooter : Villa have been in fine form against the big guns so far this season, and will take inspiration from their recent win at Old Trafford when running out at The Emirates. The Gunners hammered Hull but Villa are a different beast altogether, and I fancy them for a 2-1 win.

Looter : A potentially huge match for both these sides and the absence of Emile Heskey will be a blow for Villa. That said, his replacement John Carew will be more than a nuisance to a Gunners defence who can have something of a soft centre at times. But Arsenal are almost unplayable at home and I think they'll just have too much class. 3-2

Hull City vs Man Utd
Shooter : A fuming Fergie will demand a response to the crushing Craven Cottage defeat - and he usually gets one. This is quite an open season and the Big Four are there for the taking, but Hull don't have Fulham's firepower so United's creaky defence should be fine. 0-2

Looter : United will be desperate to bounce back after the misery of their defeat at Fulham last time out and should have one or two regulars back in their ranks. Hull do work hard and will run their socks off for 90 minutes, but I expect United to nudge their way to a useful away win. 0-2

Everton vs Burnley
Shooter : David Moyes' men are struggling to rack up wins at Goodison (just 2 in 9 games) and although Burnley's away record suggests otherwise (8 defeats in 9 games) I've seen them a few times and they've been unlucky. I think they'll leave Merseyside with a point here. 1-1

Looter : Both these sides will have little option but to play similar sides to the ones fielded on Boxing Day, due to the small resources currently available to both managers. But Burnley are as wobbly as Santa on sherry on their travels, so I'm banking on the Toffees to grind out what will be a morale-boosting victory. 3-0

Stoke City vs Birmingham City
Shooter : Birmingham are full of confidence and flying high in the table after a cracking run of results, but I think it'll come to a halt here. Stoke are a tough nut to crack at The Brit and will defend set-pieces all day long. I really fancy a 2-1 win for the Potters.

Looter : Blues have been in wonderful form of late and you do wonder just how long they can keep their run going. Their defence has been pretty formidable this term with only a goal a game average conceded. But they don't score much either so I think this could be a very unattractive bore draw. 0-0

Wolves vs Man City
Shooter : Roberto Mancini will get a dose of reality when he turns up at Molineux as the surroundings of the stadium are not the best, to say the least. I think he'll galvanise City's big guns, though, and fancy them to outclass Mick McCarthy's Men in Gold and Black. 1-3

Looter : Roberto Mancini takes his side on the road for the first time and he'll hopefully have realised that you cannot go too gung-ho during Premier League away days. In fact, he based much of his success at Inter on a series of clean sheets so I expect a 4-4-1-1 formation, which should not only ensure a clean sheet, but also only a third away win this season. 0-1

Tottenham vs West Ham
Shooter : The Hammers will head into this London derby in high spirits after holding Chelsea on home turf - but they'll be camped in their own half at the Lane and I can't see them keeping Messrs Lennon, Defoe and Crouch at bay I'm afraid. I reckon a 2-0 home win.

Looter : It's all looking rosy for Harry Redknapp's side with Luka Modric back challenging for a starting spot after injury. West Ham held Chelsea at home last time out, but five defeats in eight away games tells it's own story and Spurs should have the firepower to shoot down their London rivals. 2-0
