Shooter : Martin O'Neill's men have lost their way a bit in recent games but were very unlucky to lose to Liverpool and should have too much for class Big Sam's battling Rovers in this one. 2-0

Looter : Villa had been in great form, but have lost their way over the festive period. I expect Blackburn to battle, but it'll be a good day for ex Rover Brad Friedel with Villa cruising to victory. 3-1

Huddersfield vs West Brom
Shooter : This should be an open encounter and the Baggies will field a pretty strong line-up. Huddersfield are full of goals but struggle to keep them out, so I'm going for a 3-1 win to Roberto Di Matteo's men.

Looter : Town have been in red-hot form on their home patch this term and will relish the chance to tackle another free-scoring team in the Baggies. West Brom have faced this kind of game before, though, and should have the expertise to just about edge through. 2-3

Middlesbro' vs Man City
Shooter : Man City have always looked strong on paper - now they have a manager who knows what he's doing tactically, as Mancini showed in the fine win at Wolves. Boro have striker problems and have been very inconsistent under Strachan, so I can't see there being a 'shock' here I'm afraid. 0-3

Looter : I'd have fancied Boro to cause an upset in this one, but given that their form is so poor, you'd have to side against them. City were 3-0 winners at Wolves on their last away day, so shouldn't have too much problems here. 0-2

West Ham vs Arsenal
Shooter : Wenger's Top Guns are really starting to click into gear, and ruthlessly disposed of Pompey in midweek. The Gunners have a cracking cup pedigree, and although the Hammers will be desperate for a morale-boosting win, they just don't have the cutting edge to actually beat their London neighbours. 0-2

Looter : The Gunners were far too good for Pompey in midweek and will be keen to keep their good form going in the cup at West Ham. The Hammers have improved a lot of late, but tend to come unstuck against the better teams, so play this one safe and back the Gunners to reach round four. 1-3

Reading vs Liverpool
Shooter : The Royals are anything but regal on home turf these days and face a real battle to stay in the Championship, such is their poor form. Rafa's Reds have got a bit of momentum going after back-to-back Prem wins, and they thrive in cup arenas so should have far too much firepower for the hosts. 0-3

Looter : Royals supporters still remember that day when the mighty Liverpool were beaten 3-1 at the Madejski, but any hopes of a repeat seem doomed by Liverpool's lack of chances of success in any of the other cups (Europa League excluded). Therefore, the Reds will pick their strongest XI and that should have too much for Reading, who are very poor at home. 0-2

Wigan Ath vs Hull City
Shooter : Martinez's men are the masters of inconsistency at the moment and haven't had that winning feeling for 5 Prem games now. They can't be as dismal as they were at Old Trafford and this is hardly a fixture to get the pulse racing, so I'll go for a score draw, probably 1-1.

Looter : Latics were heavily stuffed at Old Trafford in midweek and will hope for a quick response in their clash with Hull in the cup. The Tigers will have Prem survival as their top target, but I fancy them to gain a morale-boosting win here. 1-2

Nottm Forest vs Birmingham City
Shooter : It's fair to say confidence is high in both camps heading into this cup clash, so both should play with a degree of freedom and serve up a decent showdown. Both are well-organised but I fancy a few goals here, so am plumping for 2-2.

Looter : Two in-form sides clash at the City Ground and as a result this one will not be easy to predict. Both sides are keeping things tight at the back, so I expect defences to dominate and the tie to go to a replay. 0-0

MK Dons vs Burnley
Shooter : This is the one if you're looking for a Prem scalp to be taken. The Clarets are rotten on the road, while MK Dons are a tough nut to crack on home turf, so I think 'The Guvnor' will get the better of Coyle on this occasion and carry on being up for the cup. 2-1

Looter : The Clarets are being dragged into the relegation mire and though they should welcome the distraction of an FA Cup test, will not want to slip on any banana skins. That said, a home win would not be a major shock for me, so I'm tipping Paul Ince's men to edge to a famous win. 2-1

Everton vs Carlisle
Shooter : This has banana skin written all over it, but Carlisle's away form is pretty scratchy, even though they keep things tight at the back. Moyes may rest a few first-teamers, but I still can't see the Toffees coming unstuck here. 2-0

Looter : On paper this looks like a comfortable home win, but given that Everton have a threadbare squad, they may turn to one or two youngsters. The Cumbrians, meanwhile, have everything to gain and nothing to lose, so I'm tipping them to force a shock replay. 1-1

Man Utd vs Leeds United
Shooter : Leeds will probably give United a tougher test than Wigan did in midweek, despite being two divisions lower than the Latics, as they're well-organised under Grayson and full of confidence due to their runaway lead in League One. Fergie won't field a full-strength team, so I reckon the Whites can earn a replay here. 0-0

Looter : The Whites go to Old Trafford in high spirits having won 10 of their last 12 games. Their strongest XI gave Liverpool a good game earlier this season in the Carling Cup, but United are a different kettle of fish and even their second string should prove too good. 2-0
