Archived tips :
Birmingham City vs Tottenham
Shooter : Blues' unbeaten run came to an end at the Bridge in midweek, but their confidence won't have been shaken too much - and they want to pinch Pav from Spurs, who will tip up at St Andrew's in decent nick themselves - so I'm going for a 2-2 draw.
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Draw
Looter : Blues are in delicious form having lost just once since mid October (and that to Chelsea). But Spurs seem to have the bit between their teeth and can pick up what some might say is a shock win here. 1-2
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Draw
Burnley vs Chelsea
Shooter : Chelsea have got their hot Drog back from the ANC and are moving through the gears with efficient ease. Cole is getting fully fit, Lampard has found his scoring boots - and Burnley couldn't score in a brothel, so it's got to be a 3-0 away win for me.
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : It's a massive 873 minutes since the Clarets' last goal and you can feel the confidence and fight slowly ebbing away from them. The Blues are pretty formidable on their travels and only a fool would back against them here. 0-2
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Away Win
Fulham vs Aston Villa
Shooter : Fulham's top-10 placing is based almost solely on their impressive Craven Cottage form, where they're a very tough nut to crack. Villa are a decent counter-attacking team on the road, but I think they're going to come undone here, with Roy's boys winning 2-1.
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : A difficult clash to call, especially given that Villa's away record is almost as impressive as Fulham's home form. Villa have won just once here in eight visits (a sequence that includes four draws), so the smart bet would be another stalemate here. 1-1
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Away Win
Hull City vs Wolves
Shooter : Both these teams are set for a season-long struggle for survival, and are also struggling for goals. The Tigers will go for the throat, but Wolves will have taken heart from their midweek draw with the Reds and will turn at the KC Stadium looking to pocket a point. 0-0 or 1-1
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Draw
Looter : A huge, huge game for both clubs, but Wolves are the lowest scorers in the league and I think this could come back to bite them in these sorts of games. Hull aren't exactly water-tight, but should have enough about them to win here. 1-0
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Draw
Liverpool vs Bolton
Shooter : Bolton got their first win under Owen Coyle in midweek - but although that'll give them some momentum, I'm not sure if it'll be enough when they face Rafa's Reds at Anfield. The hosts drew at Molineux and I think the Trotters will score, but I'm going for a 2-1 home win.
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : Having faced Arsenal (twice) and now Liverpool in three of his first four games, you have to have an element of sympathy for Owen Coyle. But he has Bolton playing with enterprise and vigour and I think they'll attack Liverpool in a match where attacks will be on top. Home win - but only just. 3-2
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Home Win
West Ham vs Blackburn
Shooter : Rovers are red-hot at Ewood and rotten on the road (they've lost 8/11 on the travels) but Big Sam has somehow steered them up to 11th place. You'd think there'll be a feelgood factor after the Hammers' takeover, but I just fancy Blackburn to be party-poopers. 1-2
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Draw
Looter : The Hammers can finally call on Carlton Cole again and there could be a different complexion on this game if Benni McCarthy makes his Hammers debut against his old club. If that's the case, you can bet on the Law of the Ex coming into force here. 2-0
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Draw
Wigan Ath vs Everton
Shooter : The Toffees have started to come good after a stuttering first half of the season, and their top man Arteta is reaching full fitness. Wigan are incredibly inconsistent under Martinez, but they're beatable on home turf, so I'm backing the visitors here. 1-3
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : Neither side have had league campaigns to remember, and with 5 defeats on the road, Everton have much to improve. Wigan are hard to read at home with 3 wins, 3 draws and 3 losses from their 9 home games to date, so play it safe and go for the draw here. 0-0
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Away Win
Arsenal vs Man Utd
Shooter : United don't really deal with draws on the road this season - they've won 6 and lost 4 in 11 games, so I think there'll be a winner in this game, and think the champions have got enough momentum to overcome Wenger's Gunners, who are missing the crocked Vermaelen. 1-2
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : The big game of the weekend and your shoot4theloot decider. United came from behind to win last time these sides met, but if they can get in front this time, I don't think the Gunners will let a lead slip as easily. Gunners to edge it for me. 2-1
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Away Win
Man City vs Portsmouth
Shooter : Pompey are a club in dire straits and can't even afford to run their club website, so players' morale is going to be on the floor. City will dust themselves down after their midweek heartache - and with in-form Tevez leading the way, will romp to a 4-0 home win.
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : These sides could not have differing bank balances, but it'll still be 11 v 11 on the pitch. And after City's exhausting effort against United in midweek, I'm backing Pompey to pinch an unlikely point. 1-1
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Home Win
Leicester vs Newcastle
Shooter : It'll be a packed house at the Walkers Stadium, and with the Foxes pushing for the play-offs and the Magpies eyeing automatic promotion, this will be a tight, tense affair. I think there'll be goals, so am tipping up a 2-2 draw.
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Draw
Looter : Only three defeats on their travels suggests Newcastle will be up for the battle in this one, and that's exactly what they'll get against a Foxes side who lost at Barnsley in midweek. But I'll back the Toon's class to shine through and nudge them to an away win. 0-2
