Arsenal vs Birmingham City
Shooter : Wenger's young guns were held by Spurs in the Carling Cup but the seniors will be back on Saturday and should have too much class and momentum for a Blues side who lost away to Huddersfield in the FA Cup and have lost eight of 13 on their league travels so far. The Gunners have won 10/11 at the Emirates so it's got to be a home win for me, probably 2-0.
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Draw
Looter : The Gunners are unbeaten at home and you just cannot see Alex Mcleish's troops - beaten on their travels in their last four games - getting anything from this one. Don't expect an avalanche, but expect a home win and a clean sheet. 2-0
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Draw
Aston Villa vs Reading
Shooter : Reading finally showed some resolve on their travels in holding Spurs to an FA Cup draw, but they've still to win away from the Madejski, losing 7 of 10 games on the road. Villa lost to Man United at home but that's no disgrace and the likes of Carew, Agbonlahor and Young should find the Royals' backline a bit easier to break down. I think Villa will edge it 2-1.
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : If you go with the form book on this one, you'd have it done as a mortgage job home win. But Reading got a draw at Spurs last weekend and only bad defending cost them at the same place the week before and I think they could sneak a draw here. Martin O'Neill is meant to be after Kevin Doyle and he could show him why in a 1-1 draw.
Prediction : Draw    Actual Result : Home Win
Chelsea vs Tottenham
Shooter : This is a tough game for both teams coming hard on the heels of their Carling Cup semi-finals. The Blues may be unbeaten at home in a long, long time - but they've got a host of key players either injured or heading off to Africa for cup duty. Spurs may be a bit leggy, but the adrenaline of a London derby will carry them to a point at the Bridge, where Chelsea have won 6 and drawn 4 in the league so far. 2-2
Prediction : Draw    Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : The Blues have been flirting with their unbeaten home record of late and have been fortunate not to lose at least once. But Grant's side have grit and determination if nothing else and have a voodoo sign over Spurs. 3-1
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Home Win
Derby vs Wigan Ath
Shooter : The Rams simply HAVE to win this game if they are to have any chance of pulling off a Great Escape. They needed to sign Houdini this month, but Laurent Robert and Robbie Savage will do for now and should give the squad a massive lift. The Rams have been very unlucky, losing in stoppage time at Bolton, so Jewell has something to work with - plus Wigan have lost eight of 11 away games. 2-1.
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : The Rams are likely to hand debuts to Savage, Villa and possibly one or two more and will be revved up for this one. As far as Paul Jewell is concerned, their survival fight either lives on or dies in this one. I think there'll be goals and I can see the home side just edging it. 3-2
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Away Win
Everton vs Man City
Shooter : This is a huge test for two teams with ambitions of gatecrashing the Big Four this season, and I think it's got draw written all over it. Everton may have lost to Oldham on home turf, but all the big guns will be blazing at Goodison as they search for a seventh home win. City are a tough nut to crack both at home and away, though, with Sven's defensive nous and the flair of Elano, Petrov and co making them a real handful. 1-1
Prediction : Draw    Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : This is probably the match of the weekend with both sides hoping for a win to keep up their European pushes. But the Toffees will be without the in-form Yakubu, Pienaar and Yobo and will have to re-jig what has been a largely settled side. City got their tactics spot on at Newcastle last time out and could well be in line for a repeat. 0-1
Prediction : Away Win    Actual Result : Home Win
Middlesbro' vs Liverpool
Shooter : Liverpool's away league form is better than their Anfield form so far - but they were lucky to emerge from the cup tie at Luton with a draw, albeit where they were missing Gerrard and Torres. Boro showed against Arsenal earlier this season that they can really turn it on every now and then, and I have a sneaky feeling Southgate's troops will hammer a final nail in the Reds' title coffin. 2-1
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Draw
Looter : Boro always seem to raise their game when the big boys stroll into town, having already beaten Arsenal at The Riverside this season. Liverpool aren't exactly brimming with confidence at the moment and I can see defences dominating in a 0-0 or 1-1 draw.
Prediction : Draw    Actual Result : Draw
West Ham vs Fulham
Shooter : Is it fair to say Hodgson's champagne period at Fulham is already over? If so there's been a distinct lack of fizz since his arrival, probably as the players are having to switch from Sanchez's siege mentality to a passing game. That should suit the Hammers, who have a number of key players such as Bellamy and Bowyer coming back to fitness. Fulham have only won 2 of 21 Prem games - it'll stay that way. 3-1.
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : Fulham's problem this season has been holding on to leads and despite talk of raised confidence, you just cannot see them getting much at Upton Park. Yes, they will work hard, but that only gets you so far and the Hammers have the quality to nail a narrow home win. 2-1
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Home Win
Man Utd vs Newcastle
Shooter : The United juggernaut is slowly moving through the gears and saw off Villa in cruise control to stay in the FA Cup. At Old Trafford they are simply unstoppable, having won their last 10 games on the trot. Newcastle, meanwhile, emerged battered and bruised from a cup draw at Stoke where they were outfought and outplayed - and are managerless after sacking Big Sam. Messrs Rooney, Tevez and Ronaldo will be licking their lips at this one. 3-0
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear! Words just cannot describe how shambolic Newcastle's hierarchy are for getting rid of Sam Allardyce. And whatever anyone at the club says, that disorganisation will affect their players' performance. United have the tools to take advantage and you can expect a routine home win. 3-1
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Home Win
Sunderland vs Portsmouth
Shooter : I honestly thought Sunderland would fare a lot better under Keane than they've shown so far, and confidence hit rock-bottom after a cup drubbing by fellow strugglers Wigan on home turf. They sadly don't have 11 Roy Keanes on the pitch, and visiting Pompey have won 7 away from home this season - a record only matched by Chelsea. Harry is losing several key first-teamers to the African Nations Cup, though, so I think the Cats could bag a point. 1-1
Prediction : Draw    Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : If you go with the form book, then this would have to be a nailed on away win. But Pompey will have to make do without many of their key performers, due to African Nations Cup call-ups, and much of their success on the road can be credited to Muntari and Utaka. Their absence could be telling, so expect the Mackems to hold on for a battling point. 1-1
Prediction : Draw    Actual Result : Home Win
Bolton vs Blackburn
Shooter : This is normally a fiesty affair, but with Anelka having joined Chelsea the Trotters are there for the taking. Rovers have plenty of firepower but are not as strong defensively away as in previous seasons - and The Reebok is a tough place to get all three points. I think it'll be a draw, 1-1.
Prediction : Draw    Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : Whatever the immediate future holds for Nicolas Anelka, it's unlikely he'll take part in this match and the Trotters, without his pace, just don't look the same side. Rovers beat Derby on the road last time out, and they could again take the spoils in this Lancashire hot-pot. 0-2
Prediction : Away Win    Actual Result : Away Win
