Arsenal vs Aston Villa
Shooter : The Gunners are still in shock over the Eduardo setback but need to focus quickly as United are turning up the title heat. Gallas lost the plot at St Andrews to show the pressure is mounting, and Villa - genuine top-4 contenders - have only lost twice away from home and are in great nick. 2-2
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Draw
Looter : Both sides come into this in decent form, and it'll be interesting to see how Arsenal cope without Eduardo. Walcott could come in instead, but in Laursen and Davies, Villa have the defenders to shackle both the youngster and Adebayor. I'm opting for a draw, 1-1
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Draw
Birmingham City vs Tottenham
Shooter : It's a case of after the lord mayor's show for Carling Cup winners Spurs, but Ramos won't stand for any let-up in effort. In Woodgate they now have a real defensive leader, and although Blues are scrapping for survival, I think the sky-high visitors will nick all three points. 1-3
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : After a disastrous start to the season, Spurs have now won the Carling Cup and should play with far more freedom knowing European football is coming back to the Lane. Expect to see Darren Bent start, and with Ridgwell struggling for fitness, I fancy a comfy away win. 0-2
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Home Win
Derby vs Sunderland
Shooter : Sunderland are as bad away from home as the Rams are when playing hosts, losing 12 of 14 on their travels. But only Defoe's penalty edged them out at Fratton Park, and Derby's morale could not be any lower. The hosts will respond to Jewell's grilling - but only to get a point in my book. 1-1
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Draw
Looter : So it's the team who can't win away against the team who can't win at all. Something should give here, but given that Derby have absolutely zero confidence, I think the only thing going will be their fans - early, after another abject display. 0-2
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Draw
Fulham vs Man Utd
Shooter : At this stage of the season it really doesn't matter whether United are at home or away - they just don't lose these sort of fixtures and almost thrive on the pressure. Fulham lost narrowly to West Ham last time out, but will be comfortably outplayed this time. 0-3
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : Don't expect this to be quite the walk in the park people are expecting. Fulham have tightened things up at the back of late and are talking, at least, like they believe they can stay up. But United are different class and should eventually crack Fulham's brave resistence. 0-2 - but both goals to arrive late!
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Away Win
Middlesbro' vs Reading
Shooter : Reading are in the midst of the mother of all slumps, 9 defeats on the trot including the FA Cup - mainly because they're scoring less than a drunk in a bedsit (2 goals in 7 league games). Alves will finally get a run due to Aliadiere's 4-match ban - and Boro should win this with ease after pushing Liverpool all the way. 2-0
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : The Royals insist they will approach this game as 'do-or-die' and it is getting to that stage for Steve Coppell's men. Boro, on the other hand, could be distracted by their imminent FA Cup quarter-final, so I'm edging towards a Dave Kitson-inspired away success. 0-1
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Away Win
Newcastle vs Blackburn
Shooter : Remember, remember the 15th of December? That's the last time Newcastle won a Prem game - a jammy 1-0 win over Fulham at that. 7 defeats in 10 games have since drained any confidence gained from a cup win over Stoke, and Rovers roll into town having just stuck four goals past arch rivals Bolton. Keegan's getting greyer by the day. 1-3
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : The dream Keegan return is rapidly turning into a nightmare and unless they pick up a win, and fast, they could be looking at relegation. Once again expect the players to give their all, but once again expect more disappointment in a high-scoring draw. 2-2
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Away Win
West Ham vs Chelsea
Shooter : Chelsea have not played in the Prem since a 0-0 draw with Liverpool over 2 weeks ago and are in disarray after the Carling Cup defeat and revelations of training ground bust-ups. They're unbeaten in the league in 9 games though (6wins 3draws) and are a huge threat even when they're not in top gear. The Hammers are also a tough nut to crack, so a draw for me. 1-1
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : Strange team West Ham! Home wins against Man United and Liverpool show they can compete with the best, but then dire draws against the likes of Birmingham prove they're not all that. But Chelsea are the wounded animal after last week's Carling Cup loss - and that's usually when they're at their best. 1-4
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Away Win
Man City vs Wigan Ath
Shooter : City came unstuck at Eastlands for only the second time (in the league) against the Toffees - but facing Steve Bruce's Latics is a totally different kettle of fish. Latics don't deal in draws, just wins or defeats, and saw off Derby 2-0...but that's not saying much. Another home for Sven's boys, only just though. 2-1
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Draw
Looter : Thaksin's been banged up in Bangkok, while City's players look like they'd rather be doing Bird too if the last few week's performances have been anything to go by. Wigan, by contrast, have been playing pretty well and will fancy their chances of nicking a draw at least. 1-1
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Draw
Bolton vs Liverpool
Shooter : The Trotters come into this off the back of a derby drubbing by Rovers, and are really struggling for goals at The Reebok recently (2 in 4 home games). They'll try to frustrate the Reds, but Rafa says his rotation is no more so Torres/Gerrard and co should just help them bank all three points. 0-1
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : The excitement of Madrid and the trip to Lisbon has been the talk of the town in Bolton recently, so I doubt they'll really be bang up for this one. Liverpool, however, have an almighty fight on their hands to finish fourth and should go at Bolton, all guns blazing, right from the off. 1-3
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Away Win
Everton vs Portsmouth
Shooter : Everton are unbeaten in 7 Prem games (and have won 5 of them) and are genuine contenders to gatecrash the Champions League big four. That their main rivals are Liverpool seems to be spurring them on, and not even the stupendous David James will keep them at bay on this occasion. It'll be a tight affair, but I reckon 2-1 to Moyes' men.
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : Anyone who witnessed Everton's display at Man City earlier this week will know that Moyes has knitted together a side who are capable of competing with the best. Pompey looked a little leggy when beating Preston last week, and a repeat of that will mean a certain home win. They should improve, but the Toffees will be too good. 2-1
