Derby vs Man Utd
Shooter : After last weekend's FA Cup results, some might say 'you never know?' Well you do with this one. Derby are strong contenders for the 'worst-ever Prem team' tag and were hit for six by Chelsea. United have closed in on leaders Arsenal after their wobble and will simply crush the Rams, so it's just a matter of nailing the scoreline - I say 0-4.
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : OK, so Derby's sole aim in this game will be avoiding a spanking by yet another cricket score. Paul Jewell knows confidence is low, so will try his best to nullify the threat of United, who are likely to rest key players. The Rams haven't been that bad at home, so I'll opt for a closer than you might expect away win. 0-2
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Away Win
Liverpool vs Reading
Shooter : Reading have roared out of the dropzone up to 14th following back-to-back wins but ever since Rafa stopped his rotation and started playing Gerrard & Torres in every game, Liverpool have looked unstoppable - funny that. The Reds have bagged 13 goals in 4 Prem wins on the trot - this will be a comfortable fifth for them. 2-0
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : Reading go into this one on the back of successive victories and safe in the knowledge that they have already beaten the Reds this season. But Liverpool, finally with a settled side after Rafa ditched the rotation, are in fine form lately and in Torres, have a player right at the top of his game. 2-1
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Home Win
Portsmouth vs Aston Villa
Shooter : There's nothing between these two Europe-chasing rivals and it has draw written all over it, but I'm plumping for a Pompey win. Villa are hard to break down but the hosts have Defoe in their armoury - he has scored 5 Prem goals in his last 5 games and is in red-hot form. 3-1 to Harry's boys.
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : Pompey returned to form at Fratton Park with their midweek mauling of Birmingham, but will find their Second City rivals Villa a totally different proposition. I think Harry's boys will have their minds on their upcoming FA Cup semi-final, and with Villa knowing it's the league or bust as far as Europe is concerned, that should be enough to edge them to an away win. 0-1
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Home Win
Sunderland vs Chelsea
Shooter : Chelsea may have had a nightmare in the cups but they can't stop scoring in the Prem, having bagged a whopping 10 goals in 2 games v West Ham and Derby. Sunderland are banking on their home form to keep them up but lost to Everton last time out - and will do so again. 1-3
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Chelsea are always at their most deadly when they have a point to prove, as Derby found out to their cost in midweek. Sunderland's home form is better than anyone else's in the bottom half, but stopping Lampard, Ballack and Joe Cole isn't easy and this all points to an away win. 0-2
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Away Win
West Ham vs Blackburn
Shooter : Confidence is lower than a sewer at Upton Park after three consecutive 4-0 defeats on the spin, while Rovers have proved to be the Artful Dodger of the Prem, pickpocketing away wins in the 90th minute at Bolton and Newcastle recently. Rovers are rock-solid in defence and have fierce competition in attack - I reckon 1-2.
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : The knives are sharpening for Alan Curbishley after a hat-trick of 4-0 defeats - and another capitulation like that here would surely see him through the exit door. But Blackburn have been in limp form themselves of late and I can see both sides playing out a drab and unattractive 1-1 draw
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Home Win
Arsenal vs Middlesbro'
Shooter : The Gunners have started to wobble in the title race, drawing their last 3 Prem games with Birmingham, Villa and Wigan. Their Milan heroics cannot be ignored, though, and they've had a decent break coming into this so will get three points on the board. Boro showed well at Anfield and Villa Park so it won't be easy, but I reckon 2-0.
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Draw
Looter : Three successive draws in the Prem is not exactly title-winning form and the Gunners will be desperate to get back to winning ways against a Boro side who have seen their season washed down the plughole following their FA Cup exit. Add into the mix that Boro have been bashed in north London in the past, and I think this could be a big home win for Arsene's top Gunners. 5-0
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Draw
Fulham vs Everton
Shooter : The Toffees were unlucky to come unstuck on penalties in their midweek UEFA cup tie, and any exit always leads to a slight hangover. Fulham may be doomed but they're still fighting, and I think with Bullard back in business they'll hold Moyes' men to a draw. 1-1.
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : Everton head into this one knowing their season will be made or broken now by their ability to finish fourth in the Prem. But following their gut-wrenching UEFA Cup exit, a trip to Fulham - scrapping for their Premier League lives - will not be easy. Bullard is buzzing for the hosts, and I think he might just make the difference here. 1-0
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Home Win
Wigan Ath vs Bolton
Shooter : Bolton's league form seems to have been badly affected by their European adventure as they've lost 3 on the spin in the Prem. Wigan, meanwhile, are up to 13th after winning 2 of their last 3 home games and holding Arsenal last time out. I think the Latics will be fresher and have more momentum, so 2-1 for me.
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : The Trotters may well have decided that the Prem must now take priority, but make the short journey to Wigan coming up a team who are very much in top form on their own patch. Latics were more than a match to Arsenal last time around and I think they'll be far too good for Bolton, who look unlikely to score for me in this Lancashire hot-pot of a derby. 3-0
Prediction : Home Win Actual Result : Home Win
Man City vs Tottenham
Shooter : Spurs may be out of Europe but they like playing City, and have beaten them twice already this season, at home and then in the Carling Cup when they won 2-0 at Eastlands. City have lost that winning feeling (only one win in 8 Prem games) and I think Spurs will inflict a third home defeat on Sven's men. 0-2.
Prediction : Away Win Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : Both sides go into this one licking their proverbial wounds; City (just one win in eight league games) and Spurs (following their penalty heartache in Eindhoven) knowing their seasons have just about come to a premature climax. That'll probably enduce a game of few tackles and plenty of goal-mouth action, so I'll opt for an entertaining 2-2 draw
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Home Win
Watford vs Stoke City
Shooter : This will not be a game for the purists. Stoke's win at Norwich in midweek saw them end a mini-wobble in their promotion bid, while third-placed Watford have now drawn their last 5 Champ games. It won't be pretty but with so much at stake, I reckon a 1-1 draw.
Prediction : Draw Actual Result : Draw
Looter : The Potters finally got out of their mini-slump with a hard-fought 1-0 win at Norwich in midweek, and know that a win here could take the wind out of Watford's automatic promotion sails. But Aidy's Hornets are more than well-drilled, and after being unlucky to collect just a point from their midweek draw at Bristol City, I believe they will go one better in this one and claim a vital 2-0 win.
