Arsenal vs Reading
Shooter : The Gunners are still licking their wounds after their Old Trafford defeat, but they outplayed United and will be looking to lash out. Reading may be talking the talk, but they're in real trouble now - just three points above the dropzone and with just one away win in 16...make that 1 in 17 after Saturday, and expect goals. 3-1
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : Little has gone right for the Gunners in recent weeks, but a clash against Reading is the perfect opportunity to get back to winning ways in style. Steve Coppell's side lost 2-0 at home to Bolton last weekend and 3-0 at Newcastle the week before and I think there'll be a repeat scoreline at the Emirates. 3-0
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Home Win
Fulham vs Liverpool
Shooter : This fixture has proved kind to Fulham in the past, and with 4th place all-but sewn up, Rafa will have one eye on Tuesday's CL crunch with Chelsea and could field a shadow squad. Fulham know this is a must-win for their survival bid, and are buzzing after beating Reading for their first away win in a long, long time. I've got a sneaky feeling this will be the shock of the day. 2-1
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : This is a game of epic proportions for Fulham and once again, nothing less than three points will do. The Cottagers picked up a 1-0 win when they needed it most at a similar stage last season and have in fact won three of the last five clashes between the sides at the Cottage. The Reds' focus is likely to be on the midweek Champions League semi-final with Chelsea, so I'm opting for another home win. 2-1
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Away Win
Middlesbro' vs Bolton
Shooter : Boro may be drifting around in no man's land with little to play for but Southgate is somehow keeping his players on their toes and they're in good nick. Bolton were boosted by beating West Ham and can't afford to lose this one so will be ultra defensive and look to nick a goal on the break...but Alves is slowly finding his feet so I reckon it'll be 1-1.
Prediction : Draw    Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : You never quite know what you're going to get with Middlesbrough and they do tend to slip up against the lesser sides at The Riverside. Bolton, meanwhile, are scrapping for their lives and gave themselves a lifeline against West Ham last week. They again need three points and I think they might just find a way past Boro too. 1-2
Prediction : Away Win    Actual Result : Away Win
West Ham vs Derby
Shooter : How West Ham are in 10th is beyond me, but they've been non-movers for a while as they've gone 4 games without a win, and have lost their last three on the trot. Confidence is low, but look who are rolling into town on Sat - arguably the worst team ever to have graced the Premiership. Derby were hit for six by Villa and have lost 25 of their 34 games. That'll be 26 of 35 soon - but don't expect a goal rush. 2-0
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : Derby are quite simply the worst Premier League side ever, and as a well-respected pundit claimed in midweek, they'd probably be fighting relegation if they were in the Championship based on current form. The Hammers have little to play for too, despite Alan Curbishley's bleetings to the contrary and they'll be looking for a win to silence some of the doubters. 2-0
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Home Win
Wigan Ath vs Tottenham
Shooter : On paper you might expect an away win, but we're not on paper here, we're on the cabbage patch at The JJB and Spurs are facing a Latics side buzzing from the last-gasp draw at the Bridge. Spurs have been brittle away from the Lane, losing 4-1 at Birmingham and Newcastle in recent times. Wigan, meanwhile, know another three-point haul at home, where they've won 8 of 16, could virtually secure top-flight football for next season. 2-1
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Draw
Looter : Wigan are so much-improved under Steve Bruce that they're already targeting a top-half finish next season. Although that might be a little premature, recent draws against Arsenal and Chelsea prove Latics are moving in the right direction. This game finished in a thrilling 3-3 draw last year and I think there will be goals once again, if not quite so many and I think Spurs might need late salvation from super sub Darren Bent. 1-1
Prediction : Draw    Actual Result : Draw
Blackburn vs Man Utd
Shooter : United are five points clear of careless Chelsea and have a CL date with Barcelona at the Nou Camp in midweek, so Fergie is unlikely to risk all of his top men for this Ewood battle. Rovers are always a tough cookie at home and ex Red Devil Mark Hughes will fire his troops up for this one. I think it'll be a draw, possibly 2-2.
Prediction : Draw    Actual Result : Draw
Looter : United have built up a head of steam and are closing in on title glory, so it'll be interesting to see what side Sir Alex Ferguson puts out, especially with a trip to Barcelona just days away. With that in mind, I think the Red Devils may just rest a number of their big guns, which could be just the incentive Rovers need to pinch a point from their Lancashire rivals. 2-2
Prediction : Draw    Actual Result : Draw
Aston Villa vs Birmingham City
Shooter : Birmingham have been dragged back into deep trouble following wins for Bolton/Fulham, and a short trip to Villa Park for a fierce Midlands derby is the last thing they need. Blues have lost their last 3 on the road and face a local rival still basking in the glory of hitting Derby for six. A home win for me. 2-0
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : A fierce Midlands derby is probably the last thing Blues will have wanted - especially when a defeat could plunge them right back into the bottom three. Blues could partner James McFadden with the on-fire Zarate in attack, and I think that combination could see them claim a point - if they can tame the ever-improving Ashley Young on the Villa wing. 1-1
Prediction : Draw    Actual Result : Home Win
Newcastle vs Sunderland
Shooter : It's also derby day in the North-East where Keane's Cats travel to face Keegan's Magpies, with both teams in decent touch. Sunderland have finally found some form away from home, winning their last 2, but they run into a Toon team rejuvenated by a three-pronged strikeforce and now scoring goals for fun. I'll go for a 2-2 draw.
Prediction : Draw    Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : The Magpies go into this one protecting a five-game unbeaten run - easily their best run of a turbulent season - and need to avoid defeat in this one to keep their noses ahead of their fierce rivals. Sunderland, meanwhile, still need a point to be sure of safety, but I think they may have to wait until next week as the Toon collect a third straight home success. 2-1
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Home Win
Man City vs Portsmouth
Shooter : These two have been level-pegging for most the season, and both play in very similar fashions. Pompey drew a blank v Newcastle, while City won at Sunderland, but I just think these two will cancel each other out. The attacking emphasis will be on City but Pompey are a powerful, defensive unit and I reckon they'll earn a point. 1-1
Prediction : Draw    Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : David James has already warned Pompey that they need to keep up their league form if they want to enjoy FA Cup success next month, and a trip to Manchester City represents a perfect opportunity to do just that. Sven's been warned that his future is in jeopardy, but that's harsh on a man robbed of half of his regular back four and those absences could haunt them, especially with Jermain Defoe in rich goalscoring form. 0-2
Prediction : Away Win    Actual Result : Home Win
Sheff Utd vs Hull City
Shooter : Hull produced a fine display to win at Barnsley in midweek and take a top-two spot, but I can't help feeling they're punching well above their weight. Their momentum is fantastic having won 5 of their last 6 games, but I just fancy the Blades to cut them down a size as both Beattie and Sharp are banging them in. 2-1 for me.
Prediction : Home Win    Actual Result : Home Win
Looter : It's the last-chance saloon as far as the Blades' play-off hopes go, but in the Tigers they face the Championship's form club after 13 wins in their last 21 games took them into the automatic promotion spots. And in Caleb Folan and Fraizer Campbell they have two forwards with the power and pace to test any defence at this level. Add to that Dean Windass from the bench and I think they might just grind out an entertaining win that keeps them firmly on course for the Premiership. 2-3
Prediction : Away Win    Actual Result : Home Win
