Shooter : You could argue that reaching the FA Cup final proved a huge distraction to Pompey, as they lost 4 on the trot after winning at Wembley. But this is their biggest game in recent memory, and the incentive of Europe for the cup winners took the pressure off in the Prem. Cardiff scored 6 goals in their last 2 league games, drawing one and winning one, so are in good nick. But I fancy Pompey to have too much power and class, even without Defoe. 1-0 for me.

Looter : Pompey go into the cup final in woeful form, having lost four straight games and not having tasted victory in six weeks. That said, they'll still go into this game as big favourites, and whilst I think they'll prevail, it may take extra time, so I'm opting for an ugly goalless draw after 90 minutes. 0-0

Rochdale vs Darlington
Shooter : There was little between these two rivals over the league campaign, but Dale won this fixture 3-1 back in January so will have fond memories of that. Darlo have the slight edge thanks to Ian Miller's dramatic late goal in the 2-1 first leg win - but I fancy Dale to book a final spot. 2-0

Looter : Darlo have the advantage heading into this after winning the first leg 2-1 but will need to dig out a resolute performance if they are to get to Wembley. In fact, Quakers have conceded just 18 goals on the road this season (the best in League 2) so expect them to back the defence and collect the draw they require. 0-0

Stockport vs Wycombe
Shooter : It's all-square after the 1-1 first-leg draw so there's everything to play for, but it's got to be a Stockport win for me. They finished 4th, 4 points above the Chairboys - and hit them for six in this fixture back in December without conceding. 3-0 for me.

Looter : This play-off second leg is evenly poised after a 1-1 first-leg draw, but Jim Gannon's Stockport go into the clash in the best form of all their rivals. They nicked a late draw last time out, so I think they'll have the momentum and edge out Paul Lambert's side. 2-0

Motherwell vs Rangers
Shooter : It's hard to gauge how much losing the UEFA cup final will deflate Rangers - but Zenit St Petersburg were arguably favourites after their destruction of Bayern in the semi. The Gers still have a Treble in their sights and have a decent record v Motherwell, who are third in the SPL but should be overpowered on home turf. 0-2

Looter : It will be hard for the Gers to pick themselves up after their UEFA Cup misery and a trip tp third-placed Motherwell will not be easy. Well have already booked themselves a UEFA Cup spot, but won't go lightly in this one and I think they could just make Rangers' week even worse. 1-0

Sampdoria vs Juventus
Shooter : There are only three places between these two in the Serie A table, but Juve have garnered 12 more points from their 37 games so head into the game as favourites. Samp are sixth on merit, though, and I fancy them to mug the Old Lady of Italy to earn a point. 1-1

Looter : This is a tight one to call given both sides have enjoyed successful runs in Serie A this season. Claudio Ranieri's side are guaranteed to finish third, but Samp can still overhaul Milan to finish fifth so I think they'll be going all out for a victory. 2-1

Real Madrid vs Levante
Shooter : So it's top vs bottom, beauty vs the beast, david vs goliath...I could go on but won't as this one is a mortgage job. Real may have wrapped up the La Liga title, but they'll want to give the fans a celebration party versus a Levante team who have lost 25 of 37 games. 3-0

Looter : Real may already have sewn up La Liga, but the likes of Guti and Raul have this week spoken about making it a record-breaking league season for the club. Levante are bottom of the table and already doomed, so expect a one-sided home win. 4-0

Parma vs Inter Milan
Shooter : Inter Milan are now involved in one of the tightest and most exciting title races in Serie A for many a year so have no room for error. They only lead second-placed Roma by a point at the top, and face a Parma team lying third from bottom with just 7 wins to their name. 0-2
Prediction : Away Win    Actual Result : Away Win
Looter : Inter should have had their third straight Serie A crown wrapped up weeks ago, but the Nerazzuri have hit dog-awful form at just the wrong time. Parma are scrapping for their lives at the other end of the table and I just think they'll have enough to scrape a point. 1-1

Catania vs Roma
Shooter : Roma's resurgence has really turned up the heat on leaders Inter, and lowly Catania will not be able to stop the Roman juggernaut. The hosts have only won 8 of their 37 games so far, whereas Roma know they must win and hope Parma pull off a shock to win the title. 1-2
Prediction : Away Win    Actual Result : Draw
Looter : Inter's poor form has given Roma a real chance of pinching the Scudetto - something which looked unlikely just one month ago. Catania are another side battling for survival, but I think Roma might just win and finish the day as Serie A champions. 0-2

AC Milan vs Udinese
Shooter : It has been a poor season by Milan's usual standards as they've never been in the title race and could see arch rivals Inter crowned kings to make things worse for them. Udinese are only 4 points and 2 places behind Milan - and I think they'll hold on for a draw. 1-1.

Looter : It's win or bust for Milan as far as their Champions League hopes go, and inexplicably look likely to be playing in the UEFA Cup next season. I think they'll get the points required - just - but may still finish a disappointing fifth in the table. 2-1

Murcia vs Barcelona
Shooter : Murcia are not much better than rockbottom Levante, having only won 7 of their 37 La Liga outings. And although Barca are in club in crisis, with question marks over the futures of Rijkaard & Ronaldinho, they should have too much class in attack here. 1-3

Looter : Another side already doomed are Murcia, but Barcelona head into the match in woeful form and in serious danger of finishing in fourth place in the table. The match marks the farewells for Rijkaard, Ronaldinho and probably Eto'o, but I don't think it will be a happy goodbye. 1-1
